generally in good condition with high quality greens
lots of building work going on. The course has lost a very nice hole and shoe horned in a short scruffy par 3 making the back nine an easy par 33

Channels played tough in Hard conditions, but always enjoyable being a guest at this well maintained and interesting course.

This was my favourite course in Essex but the selling off of the best part of the course (for the development of housing) has butchered it. Some of the nicer holes of the back nine still exist and the course is in good condition but it's nowhere near as beautiful as it once was.

Following the reconfiguration the course is in great shape and is still a challenge, greens, fairways and T box all very good

4 OF US PLAYED THE CHANNELS COURSE YESTERDAY ON A TWILIGHT RATE OF £20,NOT BAD BUT CAN GET CHEAPER AND BETTER COURSES ELSEWHERE.THE GREENS WAS REALLY GOOD APART FROM ABOUT 4 HOLES WHICH WAS COVERED IN DUCK POO.I PERSONALLY THOUGHT THE OLD COURSE WAS BETTER CAUSE ITS TO HARD NOW.4 PAR 4"S WAS AT LEAST 420 YARDS LONG AND THE 2 BEST HOLES ARE NO LONGER THERE ANYMORE DUE TO BUILDING WORK BEING DONE

Channels is my nearest course to where I live and I've played it many many times. It is always in good condition and the staff are user friendly. The game I played in most recently was an Essex PGA Pro-Am. It is unfortunate that part of this lovely course is up for building development in the next 2-3 years although 18 holes will be saved!

Play here frequently and it is a great course for beginners to start their golfing journey. Majority of the time the course is kept in good condition.

Bloody freezing
Course in good shape. Lots of work going on but doesn't interfere with your round. No clubhouse for a warm drink.(Round played: Dec 2020 - Score: 86 Handicap: 16.7)

Very nice little course
Only a 9 hole but very nice much like the old course. Fairways and greens are spot on. A couple of the holes are a bit tight especially if you hit a wayward tee shot. Will be backReviewer Rating

9 Hole Wonder
I use this course and driving range facilities to practice my game. The greens on this course are the star. True, excellent condition and very receptive. Quick to play with shorter holes you have to plot your way round. Several longish par threes are a real challenge. Ideal for an afternoon with a couple of buckets of balls, loads of targets and new power tees that present the ball to you. Good putting green proper chipping ground and a cheeky 9 holes.Reviewer Rating
