the worst greens i have played on in a long time
we played on Sunday 21st in an open comp, the layout of the course is excellent, the facilities were very good but the greens! they were awful carpets yes but shagpile . slow bumpy and about 3 on the stimpmeter. there didn't seem to be anyone from Catterick golf club there, no starter , no officials , nothingReviewer Rating

Good course layout but was very annoyed with the people on course in front we payed to play 18 holes and only got to play 9 as the play in front was slowest ive ever seen waiting around on every shot took 2hours 40 minutes for front 9 no one would let us through full of ignorant people got no refund so will not return here!

Would recommend true test of golf for all handicaps very welcoming staff everybody seems very friendly

Good, shame about the weather

Course in OK condition - first cut is a bit long and difficult to find balls which slows play. The greens were not cut consistently throughout the course proving difficult to read. Seems they have a mowing issue here

Played here many times and it is never an easy round, greens were very quick and has some testing holes, like the 10th

Hard course to play well, more for mountain goats than an aging golfer like me. Never that busy during the day, the garrison forces members, probably don't get the time off. Always enjoy a round here.

A Challenging course, especially from the tee with thought required for both length (up and down hill approaches) and lie, especially from the tee. Unfortunately the greens were in rather poor condition, even allowing for the spring conditions, very sandy with 'lumps' missing which added a certain lottery to longer putts! Overall an enjoyable round, and in the summer I'm sure some good scoring is possible with correct course management!
