Great condition
A lovely course on the outskirts of Lincoln. A bit short but some testing holes. In perfect condition at the moment.Reviewer Rating

This course can be extremely penal if you choose the wrong shot, tree line fairways and traps everywhere to catch the stray ball if you stray off the tight fairways. Course management is key round here and playing for position off the tee is vital. Some will see the yardage of the course and expect to coast round but if you're not straight you are in for a long day.
There are a few negative points though, the big one being the signs to show you where the next tee box is. I found on more than one occasion that I was stood on the wrong tee box due to having to guess where to go next. The other bad point is the volume of dog walkers on the course, I was under the impression it was private land yet people walk their pets around it like they own the place. There were a few times that I would have to wait on the tee as people were walking down the fairway, shame really as it took some of the gloss off the day.

Good course with public access
Carholme is a good course, especially with the fact that it is open to the public with various paths running over and through it. Tight tee offs leading to open fairways, but with tall rough means you have to be accurate. No buggies and only a few trolleys to borrow. Nice club house with good facilities.Reviewer Rating
