Need one leg shorter than the other to play this course, it's all played on a hillside! Got a lot of character though..played while non stop raining probably nice course on a sunny day

Played this just as the leaves are falling which made it nearly impossible to find your ball on several occasions. This course will give you a challenge at all h/cps. Stunning views of Lincoln cathedral and I swear the fairways and greens slope towards it! Course mangement is the name of the game here.
Friendy club and welcomed visitors..... didnt try the actual club house hence the rating.
My challenge to you.... can you tame it?

Yes the course is built on the side of a hill so you need to choose your shot carefully. I suspect the guys who are critical of the course are used to hitting the ball down the middle and watching it run on 30-40 yards but at this course you need to be a lot more selective with your shots and learn to play different types of shots. A thinking mans course and when i played the greens and fairways were in good condition and my only complaint was the grass cuttings left in the rough.

Built on the side of a hill so you will learn to play lots of different shots.

A course with sloping fairways that requires thinking about the shot yuo want to play. No just blasting away here. The views are amazing but sadly they are the best part of the course. Poor tee boxes. The fairways are bare in places and where they are it's normally mud. The greens are so so with quite poor fringes in places. It is a very wet course with a fair few boggy places dotted around. There seems like there is no action plan in place to help the course dry out. The greenkeepers only seem interested in cutting branches off trees or sitting on grass cutting equipment even during winter! Members seem friendly enough although not keen on letting quicker players play through. this could be a really nice course but needs a lot of attention to detail and some drainage work.

Very tough par 3's which make scoring very difficult, greens in great condition and club house is very welcoming and freindly. Will go again soon!

Despite some crow damage which isn\'t as bad as I seen, the course is in good condition for this time of year. Greens were very quick and true for April and was a pleasure to play.Par 3\'s the hardest I seen, thankfully only 3 of them. Nice and friendly club house, very enjoyable.

I agree with all the poor reviews, played it yesterday and thought the fairways and greens were in a terrible state, not worthy of the money and a lot better courses available locally. I would recomend the local 9 hole course at potterhanworth, its in fantastic condition and better priced.

A difficult test of golf which requires a variety of shots. Not the usual flat Lincolnshire type of course.

I have recently joined this golf club as a total outsider with little knowledge of the course however my first round was 101 and today I hit 90, the course is in superb condition however I feel that around the trees could do with a tidy up. If you are unable to draw the ball then you may have a longer walk..!!!
Evey member that I have spoken to for advice has been more than helpfull.

Im afraid i agree with the bad reviews.
You really do need one leg shorter than the other due to the tremendous slopes, and considering the prices i really dont feel its worth it.
In my opinion members are rude- which really doesnt help when your trying to have a good game of golf.
Overall, over priced, ok greens but not worth the money.
