A challenging and undulating course split in to 3 zones. Shrub lined gulleys criss-cross the couse and several mature trees hamper approaches to greens proving more of a hazard than the bunkers. Some good par 3's, but suffers from lack of par 5's. Greens well maintained and true. Good weekday rates, especially if light holds after 1pm tee off make this great value for money and an enjoyable experience. Cannock Council have a real gem on their hands here, and should preserve at all costs. If income became compromised then adjusting the course and adding a driving range should be considered, not selling for housing development.

Greens have just been Spring treated so lots of sharp sand hampers true putting, but it shows good care of the putting surfaces. This lest we forget is parkland with public footpaths around the perimiters, I have seen joggers, cyclists and dog walkers a plenty so if you are put off by pedestrians take note. Most are respectful of the holes, but don't say you haven't been warned. The cost especially after 1 pm is great and outweighs this possible distraction. Great pay as you go course, always in play 364 days a year. Easy to turn up and play. Mostly par 4's, with several 3's. Some very attractive holes too. Dust off your clubs and give this 5000 yarder a visit. Cannock Leisure Centre is undergoing redevelopment too, so facilities improving

I live local to this course, and have played literally every course within a 15-20 mile radius. While it is not the longest course out there, the greens are some of the most challenging I have played and it is always well looked after. I always enjoy playing here. Good for beginners and also has its challenges for the more seasoned golfer. Score-87

Sometimes suffers from non payers with a couple of clubs playing odd holes especially on holes furthest from club house, but course is in very good condition.

This course is local to me and good for a beginner. There are some challenging holes but only about 5. Wide fairways not too many obstacles

My home course - quite hilly it has it's challenges for the wayward golfer - reflected in some of my scores!!!!

Enjoyable round of Golf
This is a great course for the amateur?.the holes can be very forgiving if you stray but also provide some great challenges. Course maintenance is good, greens are decent?all in a very enjoyable 18 holes of golf????????Reviewer Rating

Good value for money. Short but challenging. Greens not too bad, not much in way of dress code.

Course is a municipal type course where very Tom Dick and their dogs, cycles, motocross can go as free as they wish, there is no security, no control on tcourse, the shop receptionists do not inspect the dress etiquette inc Croc Sandals or bag sharing, but it is cheap and nasty.
