Belting course
First time playing Burnley with the Oak Tree Ince G.S. Everyone was friendly, the breakfast was top class the course was in fantastic condition, well defined fairways greens absolutely superb I have played over a hundred different courses and this is the only one that didn't have a single pitch mark on any of the greens, well done to the greenstaff and the members. We all agreed that it will not be long before we return
Well done Burnley.

Very Challenging course
First time played this course, essentially built around a hill. Front nine quite tough, back nine a bit more forgiving. Knowing the course can be a significant advantage as quite a few blind holes. If mobility is an issue, avoid this course.Well laid out , greens excellent . A very enjoyable challenge

Mr
This is a challenging short course, due to its, elevated and undulating terrain, flat lies are rare and greens equally difficult. Could do with more of a manicure to define areas and bunkers need more maintenance.Reviewer Rating

Great in the wet.
Played for the first time. Was a bargain at ?20. Recent wet weather didn't cause any issues, all greens in use, tee matts were in use and all quite new. Nice mix of holes, great views and overall a decent course.Reviewer Rating

Great Moorland Course
Burnley is always in great condition, a fantastic moorland course on the edge of the Pennines. Some won't like the humps & hollows & that there are a few blind drives, but I think that adds to the fun of it.
Not only is the course in great condition, with superb lightning quick greens, the views from the course are breath taking.
Add to that the friendly staff & you have a great golfing experience

Tough challenge
Despite a par of 68, Burnley is a tough challenge, especially in the wind & rain that we had. It's a classic moorland course cut into the pennine moors, up & down, left & right, but superb.
It's in great condition, greens were superb & the bunkers excellent.
You need to be fit to play it, but it's well worth it.

The greens, tee beds and fairways were in excellent condition with the course a fair test with the wind blowing a little.
The pro shop was very helpful and could not do enough for our visiting party.
After the round we had the all day breakfast which was excellent served in the newly re furbished club house.....I will definitely be visiting again in the future as everyone agreed that the course and the facilities were first class.

Top moorland track
Burnley is a top moorland track, which will test & tease you. Although not relatively long, it will really have you thinking with some tricky decisions & greens. It's a tough round first time round, as there are a number of blind shots, but once you know the course it's a delight.
It's always in great condition & you always get a friendly welcome.

Winter belter
Class place, pro super and welcoming and £12.50 for winter pairs is without doubt the best value in the UK. the layout is brilliant. first visit so a massive learning experience. the views alone are worth the entrance fee. shame the fairways are off limits with move to side / rough. great idea tho allowing clean and drop in rough not that I had a mud ball (unlike previous day up north) greens could have done with a roll TBH and foot print central but looked in good shape all the same. 100% going back a LOT.Reviewer Rating

Great moorland track
Burnley is a great moorland course, seriously undulating, thick wiry rough & fantastic views.Set at the foot of the Pennines there's hardly a flat lie in the place, the greens are fast & true & the fairways are superb.
It's not the longest in the world, but that doesn't matter with some of the strategic decisions that you have to make. Add to this the fact that's it's nearly always windy up there &'you have a true test of golf.
The welcome in the clubhouse s also great, plus the local members are always happy to see a visitor.
