Classic
No wonder this course appears in top 100 lists. Fantastic experience all round. We were lucky to have a deal, could appear expensive otherwise. But one to tick off the bucket list.Reviewer Rating

Great links course
Played this into a strong wind which made it a real test of golf even for a 10 handicap. You need good course management to keep yourself out of trouble. If you stray off course the rough will punish and balls can be difficult to find. There are a number of blind shots, so taking a look online or walking the course definitely is a good use of time. Course was in immaculate conditions and the greens where fast but true. Expensive but worth a visit and will definitely be back.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 87 Handicap: 10.6)

brilliant links
we stayed in the dormy and played 2 rounds over a couple of autumnal days in October. The course feels like 3 parts (which work well together!). The opening holes are stunning, with holes threading through towering dunes. from hole 6-11 it then becomes more open, taking you out to the far end of the property (with the par 3 9th being one of the standout holes on the course as you turn the corner). the inwards stretch is similar to the opening, with the holes being placed amongst dunes giving stunning views over the course.
I'd wanted to play Burnham for a number of years so came with high expectations, which were more than met. It's a tough track, and we experienced opposite wind directions across the 2 rounds, and both 9s play tough into the wind, especially if it's into you on the back 9. the greens were excellent, and many had some funky breaks and borrows which added to the challenge immensely.
As mentioned, it's a tough challenge, with a number of long par 3s & 4s, which can play longer if the wind is into you. However, even if you don't score well, i would expect you still to walk off with a smile on your face having experienced a course which easily justifies it's position within the top 50 of the UK.
Off the course, the clubhouse had a great atmosphere, with friendly staff and members a like. A Special shout out to the starter as well who provided an extremely warm welcome (and didn't laugh too much when i sliced my opening drive onto the 18th fairway!!)
the dormy option was also great to simplify the stay and play experience.

High Ranking Deserved
Although I’ve played many courses, I’m not used to links golf but have enjoyed this new experience on a tour of the West Country. You need to be on your game here as any mis-hit drives are likely to find places you wouldn’t want to go to, but most fairways are quite wide. I was somehow able to finish my round with the ball I started with!
The lightning fast, undulating greens could make anyone look daft, although some pins were in ‘friendly’ positions where my ball finished close.
Many picturesque bunkers - as long as you’re not in them - but the sand is perfect, so you have a chance.
Very friendly pro, starter, members and even a greenkeeper who watched my ball for me as I played over an enormous sand dune!
B & B deserves its high ranking and rave reviews.... it’s a very special place to play golf.

Tremendous course and a warm welcome
I play Burnham and Berrow every year in a society event. After a slightly down period, about 5 years ago, it is back in top form. The welcome in the new pro shop was pleasant, and the clubhouse is very unstuffy for a club of this status. The course was in terrific condition, and I don't think you will get better greens in England. The criticism of holes 6, 7 and 8 is not justified on any grounds other than appearance - they don't look 'linksy' but they are good, testing holes. 1,2,3,4,5 are right up there as a start to a round. They look more fearsome than they are, so you can get away to a good start.. The 17th and 18th are a really good finish, 17 is a brutal par 3. Just one of the best courses.Reviewer Rating
