One to miss

Poor signage to tees and greens.
Many Public footpaths cross the course.
Many blind shots.
Not good

Give it a miss

Too many public footpaths across the course.
Very poor signage to next tee.
Not very good signage where to aim for next hole
Too many ?blind? shots
Take a dozen or more balls. You will need them

i would not send my worse enemy to play golf on this thing ,people walking all over the place, marker post in wrong place ,so many blind shots .

A frustrating day

Spent as much time trying to work out which green to go for as we did playing shots. Not helped by the fact that it was a quiet and there were no locals we could follow. Won't be rushing back to play it again.

If you're not a local, you should avoid

Lots of blind shots. Fairways almost nonexistent, holes merge into one another with a crazy amount of public footpaths crossing the course from all angles. Club pro was very friendly, but old timer members, not so much.

This is not a cause I would play again there are to many holes that are play blind too hills and hollows maybe I'm not a lover of links clauses.

Could not understand the fairway marker post system on the blind holes, which most of them were. The posts just gave the fairway number with the shot sometimes being over, to the left or to the right. Loved the par 5 ninth.

A great course, Not to long but sadly the greens were not in the best condition as they were very slow. As a first time visit with no course planner

Having read the positive reviews I was looking forward to playing Bude and giving my 10 year old son his first Links experience. What a disappointment! The course was in poor condition, there are dangerous tee blind shots and it is less than picturesque. I'm glad we didn't pay more than our £20 green fees.

If you've not played here before - get a member to go round with! Mostly blind shots from tee to green, hilly but the greens are fast and true. You have to be straight here - if you enter the rough too often...say goodbye to your score and your ball!

Difficult course and poor signage

The course was quite challenging, and tees poorly signposted although club advised this is being addressed in due course. The club was very welcoming and friendly and would definitely play there again

Tricky links course

A typical links course with lots of blind shots, tricky undulations and a real wind blowing. The course is on quite a tight layout and it’s often difficult to know where you are aiming for when you are playing the course for the first time. There is a map of the course on the scorecard but it is still difficult to negotiate round the course. Some improved signage would I think help matters. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable round and I received a good welcome in both the pro’s shop and the clubhouse.

Played yesterday. Very good service. First time playing on the course. Greens were true and fairways in good condition. Could do with better signage, especially in greens that are not visible.. Numbered Hole markers would be better on the fairway than on the rough, which are very confusing as it was difficult to distinguish whether the fairway is on the left or right of these numbered holes.
Will visit again, enjoy the challenge .

Played this course in the middle of February 2014 just after some of the worst storms and rainfall we've had for a long time. Wasn't expecting it to be very playable but was pleasantly surprised how firm it was underfoot and how good the greens had remained. The course itself is very challenging with many a blind shot from tee to green and at one point got totally disorientated of where we were supposed to be aiming. That said though, we did enjoy our round and as we played it using a groupon voucher was good vfm.
