Its not often i score a course so low, but feel i have to... I have reviewed this course before and i still stand by my original comments of this having one of the best finishing holes a golf society could ever wish for... However i would seriously check with them first and get some guarantee as to the state of their greens before you play it!!
We rang up at start of the golf season (as Peter Aliss calls it) ie 1st week in April to book 2 tee times for the 13th and asked the questions "is your course in good condition, have you or are you having any work done on the greens"... To which we were told "course excellent and NO work on greens"
Sadly we turned up to play on the Wed and found the greens to be in 'AWFUL (don't use that word very often!) CONDITION'.
Tried to complain only to be told golf manager unavailable, got the general impression they just didn't care!
So, to sum up... Course terrible. Staff unhelpful. Members rude and unfriendly.
nice friendly staff in pro shop/driving range tho!
If your thinking of a round there... i'd think twice and in my opinion i'd play 'Burton Gc' a bit further up the road instead, their course is always good and you'll be treated extremely well by the Pro there, the staff there and the members there.

Good course
Nice course in very good condition, staff very friendly and welcoming. However couple of things could improve on would be an addition of a course map on the scorecards and better signage between holes.(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 122 Handicap: 28.7)

Eagle Course - excellent condition
Another visit to Branston, primarily as a warm up for Monday and to check out their new Top Tracer Range. Range busy, no trolleys allowed, so had to take a selection of clubs through as I'd left carry bag home today due to rain.Greens on the course were possibly best I've played this year and £12 with member for 9 holes was well worth it.

Wow
Played in a Society game recently and the course was in superb condition. I have played there about 12 years ago and thought it was good then but now it is fantastic. Well into summer now and it looked amazing. An excellent variety of holes for all abilities. Excellent facilities too I will be back(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 100 Handicap: 19.6)

Course is in great shape after all the snow has cleared
Frosty on some green made the ball shoot a bit but fairways in great condition
Not my best effort today got beat by 6 shots but was not very focused and my playing partner had a blinder too
£10 a tad steep but for the quality of course its not to bad

Extremely disappointed playing Branston today, not a warm welcome on arrival, poor overpriced breakfast, staff were miserable and poor service.Golf course was in shocking condition, tees had very little grass with big holes on some and very uneven, fairways ? What fairways ? Undistinguishable with tufty grass bare in places and very uneven brown and dead have you ever heard of watering ? Greens actually had grass and appeared to have been introduced to water but played poorly.
Course has many electricity pylons and wires crossing the course which are in play resulting in lovely drives hitting wires and either reducing distance or loss of ball.
Scorecard had no plan or rules stated.
Championship course ? Far from it very disappointing seems to have great potential but clueless operators I would AVOID plenty of better places to play.

Greens not in great condition
Have played here before and last summer the course was in much better condition. The tee boxes were well maintained, fairways firm but ok, but green were very spongy and bumpy. Maybe they’ll improve as season progresses as they had recently been treated.Reviewer Rating

Love this course but they are expensive and have difficulty booking at times do not answer the phone. Course was in great condition tricky greens and lots of water hazards to negotiate.

Superb Set Up

The course was in great condition. The greens were fast and tricky but I enjoy playing here a real test of your skills. The 19th has good food and drink with helpful staff.
