Eagle Course - excellent condition
Another visit to Branston, primarily as a warm up for Monday and to check out their new Top Tracer Range. Range busy, no trolleys allowed, so had to take a selection of clubs through as I'd left carry bag home today due to rain.Greens on the course were possibly best I've played this year and £12 with member for 9 holes was well worth it.

Superb Set Up
Challenging course, quirky in places, long and narrow in others. Superb short part 4, over water with the green in front of the clubhouse patio.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.4)

The course was in great condition. The greens were fast and tricky but I enjoy playing here a real test of your skills. The 19th has good food and drink with helpful staff.

Lovely course
A course in good condition, a really interesting layout. Lots of water and you must be precise with your approach shots to the relatively small greens. The final hole is a real test over the pond in front of the clubhouse.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 99 Handicap: 23.4)

Wow
Played in a Society game recently and the course was in superb condition. I have played there about 12 years ago and thought it was good then but now it is fantastic. Well into summer now and it looked amazing. An excellent variety of holes for all abilities. Excellent facilities too I will be back(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 100 Handicap: 19.6)

First round of golf played in two years so really rusty, and lucky to avoid any double figure scores and only lose one ball to the River Trent! But the course was playing nicely and not too much rough to get troubled by. Played with a low handicapper (club member) and similar standard player returning after two knee replacements and he shot a similar score.
The ground was compliant and the ball didn't bounce on too much, meaning wayward shots were not punished severely. Greens were not too quick and were in great condition.
Highlight of the round was the approach into the fairly narrow 18th. Stayed in the right, a better approach, leaving a full pitch onto the green, which landed within a foot of the hole, and stopped about 8 feet away after, according spectators in the club house, hitting the flagpole. Missed a birdie by one roll of the ball! A par was nice though!
Now for more practice and log more rounds!
