Nice course and we played on a beautiful day however the "friendly welcome to golfers of all abilities" was sadly lacking. We played as a fourball and let people through as and when we could as the "local members" playing behind were all 2 and 3 balls. However some of the comments we received and overheard from tee boxes behind us were downright offensive. It felt like we were intruders on"their" course. One female member of our group, who has only been playing the game for 6 months, was even reduced too tears by comments made by the group behind and consequently decided too give up playing golf.I hope members at this club represent their course in a better light when visiting other clubs. They would certainly receive a better welcome at our club.I for one will never visit this club again and will be recommending that none of my friends do.0 out of 10 !!!

The course has some beautiful views but is one to be avoided if you don't like blind shots to the green, which is the case on a few of the holes. On the plus side, the course was in great condition and is probably worth a trip if you live nearby - it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Shame about the grumpy barman as well.

Slow Play

A lovely course and quite challenging in areas, but horrendous slow play, I think this is down to the club shop allowing far too many 4 balls out, they shouldn’t be allowed out before 11am late September, by the 11th hole the course was at a standstill, and we walked off, 2 single figure players walking off in disgust.
That’s not good is it, I wouldn’t travel to this course from another county, but it’s quite picturesque.
A shame!

Lovely course, a bit of a walk on some of the steep hills though. Drains well, and is always in decent condition. Beware "Cardiac Hill" on 17 though!

Lovely course

Final day of an exceptionally wet 4 day break. Course in fantastic kick, given the amount of rain earlier in the week. Great views around the course and some wonderful holes to play. One minor criticism is that perhaps a little more signage between tees would help. Quite a few blind shots for the first time visitor. One hole in particular, can't remember which, 11 I think. All 4 of us hit nice drives down the middle but none knew where to got the next shot despite looking for several minutes. This is not enough to put me off playing again if in the area, as otherwise a great course and knocks spots off another nearby course that we played.

Lovely course! Great condition, VERY Hilly, not for those with weak legs or heart conditions, but some superb holes and lovely surroundings! I would definitely recommend and play again!!
From the car park/clubhouse/putting green area this course looks a lovely picturesque straight forward course, but after the first few holes your in different but equally bonnie surroundings, the hills man.. The HILLS!!! We played 27 holes and my ham strings knew about it!!! Plus theres a few blind shots so would play even better on a second visit!
Just when you think your near the finish line you see the 17th hole!! And in front of you is Mount Everest!! If your not tired by this point you soon will be! It takes 2 well hit shots to get over it but you'll breath a sigh of relief when you get the flat 18th and you'll smell the beer from the green!
A buggy course for 60+ age group but great fun!!!!

Very hilly course with numerous blind holes, fairways through shrubs and trees. Very challenging but fun. Exceptionally friendly staff and members. We were made to feel welcome. Shame about the torrential rain soon after we started.
