Local Municipal Parkland Course
My local municipal course a fairly gentle test of your game. Some tight driving holes and some O.B. On this particular day the greens were atrocious except for 3 holes. Looked like greens may have some sort of fungal disease. Pity as greens have always been some of the best for local municipal courses.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 93 Handicap: 18

Fairways the same length as the rough, tyre tracks, loose grass, mud, greens were not too bad to be fair, better courses for the same price on the Wirral.

Awful.
All the reasons I swerve municipal courses - awful greens, people bunking on, cutting across and jumping in front. Shocking tees.
Even at £10 I wanted my money back.

Fairways weren't in too bad a condition, but the greens were very poor. not cut properly and were pitted. Had not been rolled around the holes so if putts weren't hit firm lots turned away from the hole last six inches. The bunkers also need more sand and rakes.

Worst course i think I have ever played, all green pins where within 1 foot of front of green. No challenge at all. Actually boring to play. Fairways where like semi-rough,too many slow golfers. Would not play here again if you paid me. Arrowe Park and Hoylake are much better Municipals. Don't waste £12.

Avoid this course !
£13 is too much.
I've played on better pitch and putts.
Tees were a discrace, in fact they don't really have defined tees just 2 blocks of wood plonked on rough ground.
I manged to hit a few down the middle of the fairway, if you can call it that. The ball would sit down it what can be described as semi rough in the fairway.
If your ball ran off the fairway it was hard to find your ball in the semi rough it was that long. And the rough I'd like something you'd find on the tour.
As for the greens ha ha as soon as you hit your putt the ball would jump in the air as the greens were just not flat and were overgrown.
I got told the green staff had been finished up and replaced with parks and gardens staff and unfortunately it shows.
Won't be going back.

Green's were in awful condition. The weather this week has bee poor but still never expected such poor condition of the course. Won't be returning n a hurry and for £13 a round it wasn't worth it.

Worst greens ever
Yes it's a municipal but people still pay to play there and at ?13.25 it's not much cheaper than private courses and to be honest people would be better going to thoseFor the greens to be in that condition is frankly a disgrace to greenkeeping,the ball basically buckaroo's all the way to the hole.

A few of the greens are not in the best condition. That's the only reason i wouldn't recommend it. Such a pity.

Its a muni !
my local muni, guys work hard to keep course tidy. fairways in good order, greens a little long. An ideal lace for a leisurely round, as its not over used. though not liking the fact there's a temp (18th) on in June.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 92 Handicap: 26.8)

The course gives a good challenge to an average golfer like myself. The greens seem to be in decent condition if not a little bit spongy in areas. Overall I quite like to play this local course as I really love golf and it is pretty easy to get to for me.
