Really disappointing, uncut tee boxes, half the fairways uncut and played like semi rough and as for the greens they were absolutely rubbish, what a waste of time and money with people bunking on and playing as 5 and 6 balls.Reviewer Rating

Course provides a good test with nice variation of holes, could possibly move the 5th green back, over the small stream to make it a par 5. This would make it even better. Very good condition and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

This is developing into a nice course to play. It's always been a good mix of holes and a good test for those of us who are not members of expensive clubs - now they seem to be spending time on the course condition which is really paying off ( greens are excellent but needs some work on bunkers). Staff are great - really friendly and helpful

fairways long grass,greens ok in parts not the best muni in the area.not really value for money.some testing holes tight fairways,lots of easy ones too.

Bowring park golf course is a municipal course It is open most of the year some times only 9 holes as you go over motorway and it can get very wet on the other side Bowring park was the first municipal course in the country It was closed of farming in the war then opened as a 9 hole for a number of years then to a 18 hole

fairways were good , greens were inconsistent a couple needed cutting and some needed reseeding over not to bad and good value for money

I have always enjoyed this course and can see money is being spent on it. However , my playing partners and I thought that the fairways were in very poor condition and very surprised how long the fairway grass was. This seems strange , considering the weather , and appeared not to have been cut for some time showing by the amount of cut grass left on the fairway by the mowers on the day we played. Pease can we have the fairways mown tighter , even if we don`t get rain for a week or so ( which is unlikely) the grass will always recover. It just seems disappointing that us short hitters can`t get the benefit of a bit of extra distance in the summer. But stiil a fair course.Reviewer Rating

Good condition as usual course was packed waited on every shot. Group in front didn't e let me play through as a 1 ball

Not been playing for that long but i really enloy visiting bowring as its close but also for a council owned course it is excellent also all the staff are very helpful. You can also see how much work there doing too maintain the fairways and especially the greens considering the weather weve been having there doing an exceptional job. Overall i think its a perfect course for all levels of players.

The course was in very good condition the greens where all good and looked after
