Nothing fancy but nothing wrong with this course. But I would go as far to say for the price you pay, there is no better course in the northwest for this time of year. It can pour down for days and the odd puddle might pop up, drainage is fantastic

This course generally kept in good condition and can be challenging in places especially over the lakes.
The bunker are never kept in good condition which is a pit because otherwise it makes for an enjoyable round of golf.

Poor condition
Got to be the worst course I've played in a long time, greens were terrible, fairways so so but I appreciate that the weather hasn't helped at all.Reviewer Rating

Great all year round
All morning heavy rain got to course fearing the worst and was pleasantly surprised. Green had some surface water on but all in all course very playable, well worth the green fee most of the course bone dry(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 82 Handicap: 10.4)

Bootle golf course is a municipal course. It's ran on a shoe string. However the few staff employed there manage to provide a well kept and challenging facility for any golfer, of any standard, to enjoy. I play there regularly and would recommend it without hesitation.

Went on the 17th of feb 2014 and had a great time course is. Comeing on leaps and bounds was a little bit water logged in places and a couple of greens could of been better but all in all it was a vast inprovement very reasonable prices at £11.50 weekdays (£7 after 2pm) and £14.50 on a weekend and the staff where exceptional top marks
