Poorly maintained but quite challenging. Needs lots of attention to improve facilities. Money recently been spent on a new driving range which is a complete waste of money
Monies could have been better spent on club house etc. which is dilapidated and disgaraceful..

Poor condition
Got to be the worst course I've played in a long time, greens were terrible, fairways so so but I appreciate that the weather hasn't helped at all.Reviewer Rating

Today was the worst I have seen this coarse! Hopefully a bit of good weather and a lot of work, and maybe this coarse can bounce back. With other coarses in the area BGC HAS ALOT OF COMPETION!!!!!!

Bootle golf course has never been in as bad a condition as it is now the dumping of thousands of tons of rubble to create a so called driving range has left holes 1,2,9 and 18 in need of some serious attention greens on 9 and 1 are unbelievably bad the second fairway always floods and 18 th fairway is none existent as the driving range has encroached on to it. It's a terrible shame this place used to be very very good there is no practice putting green. The clubhouse should be condemned as a fire hazard. The basement is flooded and pigeons live in the ceiling it's a total mess won't play here again unless there is a lot of work done.

In old times ace course happy days now now not fit to be in liverpool .will never play agin unless we get a takeover need new digger to rip it up

Course playable all year round. Facilities and walking areasareshocking. Constant work being done (apparently), never see anyone actually working on it

I have played this course for 18 years its the worst i have ever seen it. Big shame as it was once a decent course but very poor now.

Not in the best condition due to the works to add a Driving range and a new club house, the work has been ongoing and has taken 3 years to get to where thet are now not very far at all. The course has suffered due the works and needs a lot of work to the fairways and new greens 1st & 9th which have been opened and are basically mixture of mud, sand and grass shame really was once a great course but now i avoid playing there.

Its an absolute dump. Litter, rock hard bunkers, ridiculous rough and crap tee boxes. Plus its been undergoing work for about 5 years! Avoid at all costs. I'd rather play on a rubbish dump, which is what it used to be.

So much potential
If only this course was given the love and attention it deserves it would be a great pleasure to play it on a regular basis. Get that wonderful clubhouse up and running Sefton Council.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 92 Handicap: 22.4)
