Continues to improve
The course has moved on significantly, it is in excellent condition and the improvements to the bunkering and water hazards add to the 'enjoyment' - in other words it looks good despite my inadequacies!Reviewer Rating

Can’t see the good for the trees!
Bondhay is laid out over interesting undulating terrain and the turf is good. I’m sure it was an excellent golf course when it was originally built to a Donald Steele design.Unfortunately however, the owners have seen fit to almost completely ruin the experience by planting thousands upon thousands of trees flanking every fairway and intruding horribly on play. Any strategy and subtlety in the original design has been obliterated by tree growth and playing Bondhay today is a very dull and frustrating exercise in straight hitting.
It is no wonder that Donald Steele refuses to have his name any longer associated with the place.
There is a rumour afoot that a high profile top tour pro with local connections is interested in buying the club and taking it upmarket. I hope he’s got a lot of chainsaws!

Fairways are a bit narrow so straight hitting is a must.
Greens in perfect condition.
I will definitely play again.

Tough, never fun, but a very good course.
A proper test. Don\'t believe those who say leave the driver at home, it\'s the only way you\'ll have a chance to reach most of the par 4\'s! \\Handicap 22 Score 96..and I played well!Reviewer Rating

Tough course in good condition
Fairways very good for the time of year, ball sits up nicely.Greens were true, though aeration holes visible. Mark may well have been higher, but with some facilities not open because of covid, i couldn't grade properly. This is a proper test, and you need to be long, and you need to be straight.
