Open course
An open course but too many holes are very similar so the challenge is not as great as I was expectingReviewer Rating

There a few sharp doglegs left and right, for those capable can over the trees to get birdies. We did enjoy playing for the first and one that we would go back too in the summer. Club house is welcoming and a good chef but a small Pro-shop with just the basics. The buggies need updating as they are petrol and the fuel dials were not working, so you must check with the guy before taking it out that he has topped it up. Staff all very friendly and welcoming.

Good Challenge
The course has undergone some work over the last week- hollow tinned etc so the greens and tee boxes have yet to recover.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 88 Handicap: 15.8)

Damp and muddy but to be expected
Considering the amount of rain the course was in reasonable shape. AllArtificial tees except 18th. Greens slow due to wetness but very responsive and plenty of undulations and reads, unusual for winter golf.(Round played: Dec 2020 - Score: 92 Handicap: 15)

It's OK
This is a nice course, but beware the snooty dress code (socks) and pace of play. Guests are put out in the middle of members' comps. In my case, this led to a round of over 5 hours and waiting on every tee. Expensive for what it is.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 96 Handicap: 18)

Overall in good nick
OVerall I say as there were quite a few end of fairways, i.e. by the green that were brown and ropey but tee boxes, though slightly uneven in places, were good and green were ok though some of the latter holes slowed up quite quicly(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 89 Handicap: 15.9)

Temp tees all round, greens ok. Rest of course very wet and boggy
Not the most enjoyable round on a course I really like.17 temp tees, lots of mug and very wet. Greens were ok. Charging usual prices seems a bit steep.
