Terrible greens and bunkers
Greens are appalling, bald patches, mixed grasses of different lengths.A real mess. Some bunkers ok but with too much sand others like a quarry bottom. Much work needed.No practice facilities unless you pay extra to use the driving range. Short game area is a joke, and only available to one person at a time to use if you want to chip to the green.Reviewer Rating

Used to be a municipal course but is now in private hands and is taking a while to get over the hacking and hammering it's had in the past, it's ok, not great, a couple of nice holes but generally the greens aren't great and the fairways are scabby in places, inconsistencies in the bunkers too. The clubhouse is now really nice and great value. Don't leave your clubs out as there are definite security issues.

Great day for it, the fairways were a little disappointing, but it is understandable for the time of year. Greens were nice and receptive, overall a very good course.

no rakes in bunkers you had to carry one around with you not good. no ball cleaners at all on course.
fairways are nice and wide greens are well guarded overall a good course and good value for money

Used a 2-fore-1 voucher to play, which made it good value. Maybe a bit pricey when paying full whack. Strange, undulating fairways on a couple of holes that don't suit the course and the foliage needs to be sorted, it made ball finding near impossible even in shots that just creeped off the fairway. I personally like the large selection of par 3s and though the course had good character and some very well designed holes. Recommended to try, especially if you want practice in accuracy. Tight fairways and unforgiving trees.

good course but too many par 3's(7),some par 4's alittle short also,plenty of trees to make it challenging,quality fairways/greens, rough was a little long,there didnt seem to be a first cut of rough, just of the fairway was deep rough.

We'll impressed
Very good condition course given the particularly wet cold conditions recently experienced up to mid April!Nice clubhouse. Pleasant staff. Good food. Drinks a bit pricey tbh. But the practice facilities, the car park, the general presentation of the course all very good. Nice wide fairways for the most part, which I still managed to miss! Felt a longer course than the yardage suggests. Very enjoyable day despite my own game not being up to scratch. Will definitely return.

Decent parkland course

It's now Blackwell Grange Golf Club
The course was handed over to Blackwell Grange GC in 2013. Memberships merged and some good work has been done. Greens are good, course is good, still wrestling with updating bunkers and they are getting done, a couple of holes each year , post covid. Updated swing studio shirt game practise area and a new putting green will be in use next year. Come on down and play the course. PS, it just scrapes in @£30 on the weekend, £15 if you are a members guestReviewer Rating
