Putting out on the 18th Green at BSGC. Visitors must have an official handicap and are requested to observe the club dress code on the course and in the clubhouse. Visitors are welcome at all times when the tees are not reserved or the course not closed.

First time round here on a society day. Excellent course in good condition. Greens were quite firm but rolled well when on them. Bunkers were decent. Course itself has an interesting layout. Temp hole on 2 whilst they do some work but well integrated and didn't spoil the round in any way. Very welcoming in the clubhouse and looked after us very well. Good food before and after the round. Would go back.

Course in good condition despite the weather. Greens very fast, bunker sand firm. Good clubhouse, very security conscious. Most staff very friendly

The greens are very good, and the course is always tidy. The people here are really friendly too. Overall, I absolutely love this place. The presentation and condition of the golf course is fantastic.

You will not be dissapointed!
One of my favourite courses in Essex - you have to play with a member (which is standard for a private course)Just a really well laid out, challenging course, great condition, constantly upgraded and worked on and great service and facilities!
If the waiting list and my location would allow, I'd join in a heartbeat!
The restaurant and bar staff feel like old friends and the environment inside and out are relaxing. Couldn't give it any higher praise!

Overcast day, no rain thankfully. Course was beautiful. Some difficulty in finding the next tee from a couple of greens.

Great club, great course. Greens are great and it’s in brilliant nick. Particularly enjoy the back 9, challenging but can pick up points.

Lovely course
Really enjoyed playing at Bishops Stortford despite the planes flying over continuously & the noise from the M11. The course was in excellent condition and all the members & staff very pleasant & helpful.Reviewer Rating

Great Course, even in tough conditions

Our contemporary, yet traditional clubhouse enjoys beautiful views over our highly rated and challenging course, and is the perfect place to relax after a round of golf. Members can make use of the clubhouse seven days a week, whether it be catching up with friends over a drink in the bar, watching the latest sports on our large screen TVs or popping along for Sunday lunch with the family. Or you might want to join the very active Bridger or Snooker sections. We are also fortunate to be able to offer our extensive and versatile facilities for weddings, private functions and business meetings with ample on-site parking and an experienced team ready to make your event a success.

Friendly course
Early start to the season and early T time as a guest. Made to feel very welcome and the course is a fair challenge although with recent weather and work on the course the greens were not great this early in the season.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 91 Handicap: 17)
