Bird Hills
As pay and play courses go it is pretty good, particularly in the summer months when it is dry! Greens were in good condition, and ran true! Clubhouse is old fashioned but the food and drink menu is good!Reviewer Rating

Good value
The course is not long and is in pretty good condition. the tees need work but the greens are pretty good. The practice green is much faster than the actual course. This is a great place to practice your game. Friendly welcome and a good America Golf store on site, along with good practice facilities.Reviewer Rating

This is my home course for handicap purposes. Always get a good friendly welcome and the members are all decent, whoever you play with. Course is in fairly good condition. Teeboxes, fairways and fringes around the green are all ok. My one criticism is that the greens, could do with a little more care. They aren't consistent, pace wise and a little more TLC to them would be great. Didn't go in any bunkers, for once, but they looked to have a decent amount of sand in them. One thing I've said before that would make playing here easier for visitors, is to have the 3 coloured flags to denote if the hike is cut towards the front, in the centre or towards the back of the greens. It's a simple fix, but think it's laziness more than anything else. All in all, I enjoy playing here and will continue to do so. Good choice of beers and food in the large clubhouse.

Easy layout
Wide fairways with very few out-of-bounds areas. Well kept for a public course and greens are quick. Good clubhouse and range. Great value for money.Reviewer Rating

good nick
Course was in good condition and greens were true. Playing as a 2 ball with 3 2 balls in front of us we managed to get round in 3 and quarter hours without rushing.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 94 Handicap: 22.2)

Good Condition
A little on the steep side but as with most courses now the price has gone sky high. Course in good condition. They front 9 has been swapped with the back 9, a little annoying finishing on a par 3 but it is 160 yards with water before the green just a personal preference of not liking finishing on a 3.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 86 Handicap: 18)

The course itself was lovely, but day was spoilt by the bad attitude of the manager there.Our group and society actually felt we were targeted for some reason.

tough conditions
Fairways and greens in good nick but grass just on/off the fairway was very long and quite penal, more so than would have expected. This resulted in spending much time trying to find drives which would have been fine on any other fairway. Hence led to long round and frustration from other groups.Not great value at £36 at weekend.
