A proud club with a super captain
The Berkshire is one of those old clubs that you really like to be part of.......this is what it’s all about. The course is in superb condition and is quite a challenge. The welcome that we got was second to none and the facilities were superb in te bar, the restaurant and the hairdresser.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 99 Handicap: 21.4)

Old fashioned gem of a course
A completely wonderful venue in every sense of the word. Cracking course and very testing with tree lined fairways, deep bunkers and very receptive fast and true greens. Exceptionally well manicured and very friendly staff. Facilities are first class, a very well stocked shop and the food was excellent. Brilliant day.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 103 Handicap: 18)

Fantastic
Played as part of a society in June 2018 - what a fantastic place. Firstly the welcome / hospitality was superior to similar days out at "big" courses - much more welcoming. The facilities are top notch with excellent driving range and great putting practice areas. Played both courses - they are both stunning - very clever layout - not too long but rewarding. Its the sort of course you could score well at if you played it a few times.Reviewer Rating

Lives up to its Reputation
I've been lucky enough to play the Blue course three times and the Red once and they are both wonderful tracks. This is a proper golf club, more relaxed than some of its famous neighbours. The Red is up there in the Top 5 that I've played in the country, along with places like Royal Dornoch, Turnberry and Rye. It really is that good - wonderful greens, challenging layout, interesting elevation changes and some stunning views. And the epic Berkshire lunch has to be experienced to the full...Reviewer Rating

" The Berkshire " Red Course.
Well we were lucky to play the course as it was opened just for our society after our first trip had been cancelled due to snow and this would have been cancelled due to the amount of rain we have had recently but they let us on and it was still great .This course is superb from start to finish even though it was very wet but still it played great with fast greens, it undulates nicely and with the unsual sequence of 6 par 3s , 6 par 4s and 6 par 5s to make par of 72 it was a gem . The Berkshire also has a Blue Course of the same quality and also a par of 72. Both courses brilliant and in summer i would assume look spectacular.
The clubhouse is lovely and friendly and the food is absolutely superb from breakfast to the fantastic lunchtime carvery.
Believe me try and go here if you can and play both courses for the day and enjoy the hospitality, its not cheap but its well wort it.

Golfing in a different world
What can be said about this gem of a Berkshire set up. One of the big 3 in the area but this one is the more cost affordable to play. 2 courses await visitors with very different layouts. Extremely challenging holes especially the par 3's, lots of gorges and chasms to cross to find safety for the hole. Clubhouse is excellent, staff are very welcoming. A little pricey but well worth the trip. Fantastically stocked shop. Facilities are second to none.Reviewer Rating
