Great course!
Inland (parkland) course with panoramic views and lush fairways. Every hole different and some very memorable. Third time I’ve played here but first time for 5 years so great to see wonderful investment with the new clubhouse. Fully endorsed and a “must play” course in South Ayrshire - mix with Troon Links and Prestwick St.Cuthbert’s like our tour did and you’ve got the perfect mix. Visit and be golf fulfilled!(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 95 Handicap: 20.7)

Public course that delivers value
The problem with Belleisle is it's great, but it could be so much more. If the money was spent this course would be as good as Braid's other masterpiece at Gleneagles. But if the money was spent the green fees would go up from the bargain of £25. So Ayrshire council are trying to strike a balance, sometimes they get it right sometimes it's wrong. It's certainly worth a round. Greens had just been cored when I played so they were disappointing, but despite really heavy rain the course stood up well.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 17.3)

Good Golf
A good course with many strategic challenges. The strong winds made this a difficult round, but it was very enjoyable.(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 93 Handicap: 11.4)

A Great James Braid course
Belleisle is a challenging parkland course designed by James Braid. Anyone who keeps a handicap here will certainly have earned it . The par 3 holes are all difficult, and the opening three holes can ruin a good card.My favourite holes are the long par 4 11th and 15th. Every shot has to be thought out as good fairway positioning leads to greens in regulations. There are many mature trees ligning the fairways, and it is easy to get stuck behind these.
The greens are large and have tricky slopes - especially the 12th hole. For a municipal course, it is one of the best in the country, and gets a lot of play. The only thing that let's it down is the condition of some of the bunkers - probably due to budget. There are good facilities in the clubhouse. I enjoy playing golf here all year round.
