Very disappointing
Played on 13th august was told on the phone it was £44 to play when we arrived was then told it was £54 but they omitted To tell us the greens had been hollotined and sanded.Made a complaint after 9 holes but the chap in the shop wasn't interested.
Made a complaint via email but wasn't surprised that I got no reply.
Unless you get to play via crown golf which comes as part of the package I would avoid as is overrated and overpriced.

Would like to play again

What a beautiful coarse with lush underlating fairways and greens the coarse is in fantastic condition ,its not a long coarse but a miscued tee shot will see you in the bracken or deep rough ,with soft sand in all the bunkers its very dificult to critisize anything about this coarse,its a members and guest only coarse so a tee time is dificult to come by but we are part of the crown golf and played here free of charge if you can find a way to play this coarse then put it on your wish list.

Played Batchworth Park on Sunday 2nd October 2011.
Nice, modern clubhouse with friendly staff
Driving range was good but I had a couple of little moans. They were using cheap range balls and the range doglegs to the left. I went to the end bay and realised that if I hit my driver straight it would go over the fence! Big bays with new mats and plenty of rubber tees. £1 for 25 balls.
Nice short game practice area. large green with two flags to aim for. Bunker on one side of the green.
Large practice putting green. I struggled on the practice green, spent 15 minutes on there and only managed to get a couple of putts in from three feet and out!
Course was in a very good condition and every hole apart from one was straight off the tee, 7th was a dogleg.
Tees were large and in good condition, as were the fairways. Bunkers had plenty of soft sand in them and most were raked.
Big greens that were very hard to read. I struggled on the practice putting green and this continued onto the course! There seemed to be a mixture of fast and slow greens. You could hit a putt and it would be well short and on the next green you could have the same length of putt and have the same stroke and the ball would go six feet past!
Overall, well worth a visit. Not sure what the green fees are as I'm a Crown Golf member so play for free.

A good and true test of your ability. A nice mix of holes. On first glance you may think there are not many large trees to get into trouble off the tee but you soon learn that the bracken and brambles come into play in the rough. Good greens with rarely a straight putt. Most enjoyable.

Course in poor condition
Poor tee boxes and greens (except for a few towards the end of the round) fairways very boggy/muddy but can't control that as has been wet recently. Round should be £20 cheaper across the board for the quality of the course.Reviewer Rating

Not as exciting as expected
I had had my hopes built by others telling me what a nice course this was but expectations were over set. Yes there were some scenic holes with water especially close to the end but it was mostly flat or gently rolling & the fairways were very wide. The greens generously sized too but they could have been far quicker & with greater breaks so one to see how it plays later in the year.Reviewer Rating

nice course edge of London
Played 1st April & felt like fools after a couple of snow showers. On the hills so exposed to the elements but dry with good mix of holes. Greens had been worked on so probably a bit slicker come May but some are very sloped back to front or right to left. Nice club house with views of course.
