Fabulous

Have played here many times. The course whilst flat, will catch you out if you're not careful - long par threes and tight fairways make it a test even for the scratch players, but the layout means it's still enjoyable for the higher handicappers. Course drys out exceptionally well, you'll get a round here when other courses are still waterlogged. Friendliest club I've ever been to, members and staff are very welcoming. Price wise it's very affordable, green fees, food and drinks all very reasonable. Would strongly recommend to players of all standards.

Awesome club

A wolf in sheeps cloting, a relatively flat course would seen quite an easy challenge, but with the long par 3 holes and tree lined fairways, this can easily punish you if your course management is not up to scratch, the bar staff are very friendly and the food/drink is extremely cheap, well worth a visit.

A forgiving course- perfect for all

A great wee course just on the Broughshane side of Ballymena. Open fairways which run alongside each other. Plenty of chance of finding the shot that doesn't go where you planned.

Let's start with the good points. The greens are excellent but very flat. The clubhouse and facilities are excellent with good proshop too. I was welcomed in the proshop by an apologetic man who charged £18 for a round £3 more than Galgorm(home of the Northern Ireland open) on golf now. I was welcomed half way done the 1st with the almighty stink of the chicken/Turkey farm next door. That followed me around the course. The course itself is flat and unimaginative, which is fine if you want to refine your yardage, if the holes weren't marked in meters that is....the tees hadn't been cut all week and there was grass behind my ball on striking...tut tut!
This course doesn't want to attract visitors (God knows why) with the price of green fees. It can survive on its membership which is understandably cheap. If you're a visitor to North Antrim do not golf here. We are spoiled for courses with reasonable green fees(golf now) I.e. Gracehill, Galgorm, ballyclare to name just three.

Played this in a practice round for the Irish mixed foursomes. Never been as confused or disappointed with a course in my life. There is no natural flow to the course you can't really tell which hole you are supposed to play next, also there are a few holes that seem to have been added just to make up the numbers. There are a few holes which had a nice shape to them but for the majority it is just a big flat open field with a few trees and flags. The bunkers had very little sand, if any. Managed to hit the bottom of two with very little effort. I have very few courses that I can say I never want to play again but this is definitely one I cannot recommend to anyone. The club house and facilities are very good and the pro shop is good but that is about all the highlights I could find. It's an easy course to score well on if you need a confidence boost.

The course is very basic but the excellent price reflects this. There is only one tiny pond on the entire course and only the worst hook on the 12th will see you find it. Bunkers are also quite minimal and very easy to avoid. However, the rough is very challenging and some holes have some tricky trees to negotiate. For a beginner (like me) or someone looking to get back into the game, this is a good course. A mixture of long irons and a couple of trick greens with often devilish pin positions will really test the low skilled player. Low handicappers, though, should find the course very easy to hit below their handicap on. The pro-shop is small and basic but keeps all the essentials.
