The first six holes are quite a walk but it levels out thereafter. If you need a buggy we keep plenty just in case! They are inexpensive and advised if you have difficulties.

Was looking forward to playing this course for the first time. If the course had been in good condition it would have ranked in my top 10. However the greens were in terrible condition!! Crows, i guess, had dug most of them into an unplayable surface. Soul destroying if you hit the green in regulation if you 2 putted from anywhere you were doing very well. There was no warning of these greens before we played and no compensation offered. Views were unbelievable and the course layout was good but on a busy day beware a lot of cross over fairways. A Shame!!!

A "must play" course, high up overlooking Lyme Bay and beyond. Some very interesting holes, especially 16.

Tough course, great views

Made the annual visit again to Axe Cliff golf club. Weather always seems to be kind and the views from the course are spectacular. A good variety of holes and some challenging hills and undulations. Lots of blind shots can be a little frustrating with long grass and bushes to catch you out. The greens were in poor condition this year but it was still an enjoyable round with a welcoming clubhouse and reasonably priced drinks afterwards.

Had the pleasure of playing this course twice last week whilst in Devon on holiday. Really cracking course, which has a lot of blind holes/shots so make sure you pick up a course guide and read it well. Course is in great condition, lots of lovely typical tight links lies and greens mostly running true. Some stunning views (especially from 15/16) and some very interesting holes (16th in particular). If you get a chance, turn up and play in the Thursday evening roll-up which is played as a foursome, you'll be made to feel very welcome and may even win a prize (well played young Finn). I shall most definitely play this course again.

A delight to play with some interesting and challenging holes. On the negative side there is a presence of Giant Hogweed with gave me a nasty burn

Played after a few days of rain and was very impressed with condition of course. No soggy ground. Drainage obviously very good. Whole course was in good condition, and much better than other courses in the area we have played, after rainy spells. Will be playing there many times I think thru the winter.

I've just played the course, good condition (greens don't hold at all through the good drainage) extremely enjoyable walk with some of the best views in the world from a course (and clubhouse) anywhere. Great exercise, but golf carts available if required. Friendly staff, cheap drinks (too cheap) and well worth a visit.
