Super course
Super outward naive with lots of variety of holes.Good long par four holes.
Greens in excellent condition.

Very welcoming!!!! The pro shop and members were very friendly. The course was in fantastic condition. Holes 11 to 16 felt a little bland compared to the rest of the course but a good test of golf.

Considering all the recent foul weather we've had the course was in remarkable condition, the first 6 holes are very challenging as the fairways slope a lot, the weather was blowing a hooley which made it even more tricky the rest of the course is also interesting and the half-way house is the best i've come across in recent years and well worth a stop to fill up. We had a slight hiccup in our booking which was our fault but the pro-shop honored the booking which was most accommodating and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Undulating course with plenty of challenge - bunkers around greens, sloping fairways and several ditches. Magnificent setting overlooking beautiful Dorset farmland, with Ashley Woods actually on the course affording a very pleasant walk through the bluebells and celandine at this time of year

well worth a visit to Ashley Wood, tight fairways, although not a great deal of punishment waiting if you are just a little off line. Don't be deceived by the scorecard, Many holes a similar length but each in the main have a sperate challenge, if you like to think your way round then this course you will enjoy. Fantastic greens considering the time of year. Work being undertaken will be a great asset to this little tight course. The breakfast was outstanding, the pro polite and helpful. Looking forward to a return in the Summer.

A very enjoyable layout with some challenging holes. Greens were excellent as was overall condition of course. A must play course when in Dorset.

Long established downland course that has evolved over the years. Originally a 9 holer, it has been a full 18 hole circuit for many years and is now a good mix of Downland and parkland holes. Four of the new holes after a delightfull walk through some woods, are a bit up and down, but the first of these can be a real brute though and is deserving of its low SI rating. If you time it right though, you might find the tea hut open at the start of these holes.
Overall, a fairly easy walking couse, but stiff climbs up to 3rd tee and thence 3rd green, but not too bad.
Although not in the same league as the heathland courses of South Dorset, it is a very friendly and quite testing course, always in good condition, and well woth a visit if in the are, certainly in wet periods as it is more likely to be dry underfoot than most

Played the course after a day of heavy wind and rain and it was in remarkable condition.There is some winter work going on so there are some temp tees and greens which is only to be expected.Well done to the green keeping staff for presenting the course in this condition and playing so well.

What a brilliant course to play, especially in winter as it drains so well. Greens are good and the fairways absolutely superb, also a very friendly welcome and on a 2-1 ticket.
