9 Holes but 18 really different tees, some holes are par 4s first time round and par 5s the second (8th hole 409 yards par 4 then as 17th 504 yards par 5). The 2nd hole is 173 yards (par 3) then as the 11th 216 yards (par 3). It's amazing how different a hole can be just by moving the tee 20 yards or so in one direction or another! Lovely tree lined course, very peaceful, in fantastic condition. Great greens... really fast and try (Aug 2013). Very friendly members and staff. A MUST play course... don't be put off by the "9 hole" thing. And fab value.

Tues - 30th March - Late afternoon round

Stunning day for it, a great 9-hole course with additional tee positions for an 18-hole round, and with it just reopening, the course looked great with fast greens and leaf-free in more unfriendly spots. I've played many times over the years and will continue to do so. Easy to book online, and reasonable prices. The woman in the club shop was friendly, had knowledge of the course changes over the lockdown and GUR's, and was wearing a mask. The only one thing I'd love to see at Arkley would be the inclusion of some water hazards to keep the sharks at bay. Now reopened, I'll be booking again very soon to get that scorecard starting with a 9.

Good course for a hit out

Visited this course on a Sunday afternoon and although not too crowded it was a very slow pace on an open a relatively easy course. The parkland course was easy to navigate and in good condition but there were no challenging greens or tricky holes. Good for a hit out but was a little bored especially on the back nine (i.e. the first nine from a different tee position).

winter offer £10 a round on mondays (£11 after 130pm rest of week ) is exellent value ,only managed to play nine holes but felt that was value for a tenner . tree line fairways but still forgiving . havent played a multi tee course before an i did have resevations but only waited on 1 hole so didnt really affect us . well maintained fairways and good greens (which will be lightning fast in summer)

Played this course last year as a guest with some doubt as it is 9 greens with two different tee positions per green. I expected delays etc but playing midweek we went straight thru. The only time you get that deja vu thing is around the greens. Very well kept course. Tree lined & fairly open. For the first time on a new course i played it within my buffer zone & was pleased. Shot shaping off the tee would've been very handy on a couple tho! Quick greens. Lovely fairways. All good. Friendly members. Worth a visit!

It was wet & plenty of casual water but the course held up despite plenty of muddy areas. The greens were also water affected but playable.

Another great little 9 hole course that you play twice with different tees for 10-18 holes. Very icy and wet the day we played but would play again

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's great to hear that you enjoyed playing our course and found it interesting playing again with the different sets of tees to make up the back 9. It's unfortunate that the course was icy and wet when you played, but it sounds like you still had a good time and would be willing to play again in better conditions. I hope that next time you play, the weather is more favorable and you can fully enjoy the course. Thank you again for your review!

This is an 9 hole course with two tee positions giving 18 holes in total. Staff are helpful and friendly and the course fees are reasonable. Lessons are available with the resident professional and these are recommended for beginners and improvers.
