Great Course

Great course value for money and very friendly professional the members are very welcoming and if your playing on your own Lyndsey will sort you out so always best to give him a ring.

Didn't quite get the colour of the flags on the greens. One colour for pins at the back of greens. One colour for middle positions and a third for front. Very strange.

Links type course. Greens good, fairways vary in condition with some rabbit burrows on a couple. Tricky if windy. Friendly welcome. Tend to play this at times when others are closed as often on full greens when others are closed or on winter greens

Nice Links Course

Not as well known as other links courses close by but this course gives you a good test. The first three gives you a false sense of security as these are quite open, but as you get further away from the clubhouse the course narrows and becomes a great test. Some really nice par 3s!

Great little course just along the road from Carnoustie. Gives the same type of links experience at a fraction of the price. Not too long a course, but certainly not easy!

Home course

Not the longest of courses at 6200 yards from the medal tees but the strong links wind makes up for it. Tight fairways and small well guarded greens. Great new pro in Craig and his assistant Conner, friendly club house, great food from the caterer , driving range, practice green, buggies, push carts and clubs for hire. Tee times open to all 7 days a week,

Only 5800 yards but that’s on a calm day. Typical links where 3 club winds are common. Small well protected greens. Good putting surface. Great welcome at the pro shop. Hire clubs available. Great food and drink. Locker room for visitors.

My home course

Decent course with a typical links layout. Straight out and back. Small well protected greens. Rough can get up in the summer time. 6200 yards from the whites but theres always a good strong wind. So expect 200 yard drives ans 250 yard 4 irons

very nice course

First time i have played at Arbroath, in the wind and rain but made no difference to the course, the course was in good condition and the staff were friendly, as were the members i talked to, Club house was nice inside clean and friendly. only gripe was a slow 3 and 4 ball in front for some reason they were waiting way too long to play off the tee even when the group in front were WAY out of there longest hitters reach, standing gassing without the offer of letting us play through even tho our group would have quickly been out of there range.

This course is a real gem in Angus.
As someone that resides in Angus, and is new to the game, I think this course is often overshadowed by some famous neighbours and would urge anyone in the area to give it a try.
Played a quick round on impulse on a Friday afternoon after work with a money-off voucher from the local paper.
I couldn't be more delighted I did: I almost had the course to myself. Straight fairways that led to very well-kept greens for this time of year. Condition of the course seems great all round.
This was my first Links course experience. I enjoyed it immensely, despite the foggy weather, and will definitely be back soon.
Professional at the Proshop was exceptionally friendly.

no drastic elevation changes as the course sits just behind the east coast railway line. good links course with burns running across several holes, greens tend to be in very good condition. you get a nice calm day and the course is a joy. once the wind gets up then its tiring.

Short but very testing. Accuracy is more important than distance. Thw wind can make it a very stern test of your golf, as the rough is very penal. The course is always in outstanding condition.

A true links experience

If anyone is looking for a true Links experience, without having to pay “silly” prices, then Arbroath is a fantastic place to visit. Traditional Links golf in every sense, fast bouncy fairways, slick greens, play out with the wind, then hang onto your score coming home.
A must visit if in or around Carnoustie, less than 10 minutes away. Great practice area, fantastic food in clubhouse.

Part Of an amazing package

We had an amazing package for the day. Coffee and bacon roll on arrival. Soup and sandwiches for lunch and then a 2 course dinner after playing 36 Holes. An amazing flat course that plays lovely as long as the weather stays fair. Some great holes and I would recommend this anytime to anyone. Some great par 3s that are not the easiest to hit and stay on. Overall a fantastic day and agreed by all 10 of us on the day.
