Amazing course with incredible greens.
Staff unhelpful - green keeper just carried on regardless of our game and the pro just laughed it off when I complained.

A very open plain course

This is a course which gives you a challenge from down hollers you have to be restrained at and ravines and drops . The food and drink was excellent and provided in lovely surroundings. I recommend this golf course.

Grange over sands rated 3 out of 5

Great course rude staff

Me and my brother drove from grange over sands to play a round of golf(1 1/2 hrs) on arrival we were told by the professional in the shop that we were late and holding up the course. There were 2 lady golfers who said the were happy for us to play through. As I went back in to get 2 score cards he said in a sharp voice "what are you doing hurry up". Never have I been told off for being late for golf. It's not like we were late 3 minutes to be precise. The golf course is a great course and a very good set up. Would return and play. It after the rude gentleman i won't be rushing.

played the course on a fine day in march and was impressed on the overall condition of fairways and greens considering how much rain we had over the winter.Well worth a visit on a nice day could be a bit wild on a windy one

This is a very quirky course, sheep roam the fairways and the greens are fenced in.
I enjoyed this course in fantastic Lake District scenery, rolling hills in the background.
The course is very windy and dry all year round.

Hidden Gem !

We drove 2.5hrs to play this course on the way to Slaley Hall amd what a good idea it turned out to be, such a lovely setting in the countryside with sheep running around everywhere. The course has been nicely thought out, with some seriously amazing holes like no others you will have played. Cute little fences around each green which keep the sheep off, but do sometimes get in your way ... just one of the quirks of the course. The 15th is a hole to be seen and played !

The only time i can recall playing golf and looking around not knowing if i was actually on a golf course. The course is so closely integrated into the environment. It has sheep wandering around everywhere aside form the fenced off greens, horses and ponies. It really is spectacular with some truly memorable holes. Hidden greens nestled besides sandstone cliffs and a meandering river. Glorious views over Cumbrian mountains and fells, simply breathtaking. Golf is pretty good too!
