Beautiful
Played recently after being told how good it was and was not disappointed. The weather had been quite wet but the course seems to shrug the dampness away. No par 5's but some of the par 4's are tough and if the wind was against you they would be very difficult. Facilities are very good and the clubhouse and the food were excellentReviewer Rating

Brilliant Course
Excellent course in great condition.Played very like a links course with hard fairways and fast, true greens.

Classic moorland course that plays like an ?inland Links?. Excellent greens that are always superbly maintained.Long par fours and intriguing par threes combine to ensure that you have to think your way round to find a good score. Completely natural surroundings offering spectacular views of the Pennines and the distant Lake District fells. At this time of year the bird life is vibrant on the moor so expect to see curlew lark lapwing and oyster catcher in abundance. A friendly welcome awaits you. Super understated golf course
From the start, an excellent day. Ample parking, very friendly, helpful welcome in club house.Lovely course. Superb views, very well maintained fairways and greens on a common. A little width on the fairways was helpful to a first time visitor. However the course remained a very fair test. The Bell Hole was a swine!! Thank you Appleby for a super round of golf.
