Greens superb bar the 1 temp green due to Fri rain. Will be better when the course gets extended to par 72 and hopefully doesn't back up at the 9th par 3.

Testing shortish ,5191 yellow tees, course with some tricky holes. The day was spoiled because a society was playing ahead of us and the round took just shy of 5 hours..9th hole par 3 had 3 groups waiting to play.I would play again only if less busy or better guidance on timing given at various holes..every shot was a waitwhich spoiled it.

First impressions are great when you arrive but once you get to the 1st tee they go downhill rapidly. Queues from the first tee box throughout the round. At one point we had 4 groups waiting on the 9th tee. Play was so slow, had a wait on every tee box, sometime with two groups in front of us. Tee boxes are a bit of a mess, nowhere really level. With the fairways being so tight we would have other golfers on our fairways for the majority of the round.\Plenty better courses around for less £

Good but slow

Very slow play, course was in good condition but there was very little play through even though I was waiting at least 5 min on every home from the first

Disappointing

I’ve played here twice over the past month. With a mid morning tee on a Sunday and a mid afternoon tee in the week. Had to queue at the 1st tee on both occasions with no one checking tee off times. Which appears to work on a first come first served basis even with booking times. Slow play and long waits on the tee spoil the golf experience, Most recently two people sharing one bag of clubs with one playing barefoot taking about 12 shots per hole with no invite to play through. I shall not play here again due to issues like this. The course itself is quiet well maintained.

Dreadful.

It used to be great here. The 9 hole course was a great short course that you could play in 90 minutes and the "championship" course was well managed and affordable. Having come back this weekend and paid £60(!) for two of us, I won't be going back.

The tee boxes are a shambles. On two thirds of the holes you won't be able to find anywhere to stand level. The greens were okay, a handful were pretty scruffy but we've had some very hot dry weather. The worst thing at all - it was so so busy. They're either double selling tee times, or the tees are too close together. At one point we had 3 groups (10 golfers!) on the tee, and the group in front only just on the fairway. Every single golfer on the course was facing the same problem, and everyone I spoke to out on the course and in the bar afterwards said the same thing and complained about the fact it is simply way to busy.

It's clear Allerton Manor are more interested in their new bars and restaurants and have taken their eye off the golf course completely. So if its in a bad state, how can you justify allowing that many golfers to be teeing off so close together and then charging £30 a tee!?

Great and friendly golf pro, always happy to accommodate. I have played golf for over 30 years and have never been a fan of municipal course's but this course is highly recommended, they must have a great greensman/staff looking after the course, no idiots on course as price probably puts them off.

Course in decent condition. No water access on course and toilets poor. For what is really a Parks course it is well tended, and some of the holes are quite testing. Would appreciate more phone contact rather than recorded messages.

Refund, or avoidance of.

The course is a good course I have no complaints with.
However my complaint is with their refund policy. After cancelling a round of golf within the stated time limit to receive a refund, I was informed that I didn't request a refund at the time of cancellation. I cancelled the round online as I was unable do so over the phone due to no one answering. There is no facility to request a refund online so I couldn't have anyway, the club is neglectful of that.
I was treated very unsympathetic by the staff who just didn't want to know.
I was offered an alternative by way of a buggie (at £20 when my round cost £24), that was inappropriate as I was playing with three other players.
It left a bad taste and I won't be rushing back.

We arrived at 8 o\'clock for our 8 30 tee time. The 1st tee was jam packed with a society of around 10 x 4 balls. We had to argue our way to nearer the front of the queue. We eventually managed tontee off at 8 55. Absolute joke the way the booking system operates at this course. The course itself is very good with some nice holes but we were held up all the way round so it takes a bit of the gloss off the day when a full 18 holes takes 3 people nearly 6 hours to complete ????
