Abridge is definitely the best local course ( still to play chigwell ). Great variety of holes and a great test. Even thought the Par 5s are short, still are tricky. Played early September, and course was in great condition, obviously members take great pride in their greens as only had to remove from the line of my putt the debris from the trees. Seriously thinking of membership here !!!

Abridge Golf course is a must play course. Superbly maintained, and a very challenging course from high to low handicaps. The fairways are fairly forgiving and the greens with there udulating terrain makes you think about each putt.

Beautifully kept golf course. Some nice open fairways with very tricky greens. Thoroughly enjoyable if a bit pricey!!

Nice course

An enjoyable well laid out course. Great for societies good bar and eating facilities with outside seating as well. Give it a go.

Could be better
This is a lovely course, but has recently undergone maintenance on the greens (slitting) so they're not very good atm.Also, most of the holes were being played off temp tees. Buggies and trolley weren't allowed on fairways. The second hole is closed and is replaced by a pitch a putt hole between 8&9. All of which might have been acceptable if we'd been told that before we went out.
Why can't golf clubs just be honest about the condition of their course and communicate with visitors ahead of tee off. This was a disappointing visit to a course I've enjoyed very much in the past.

Very good course which was in excellent condition. The greens are quite small & most are raised, fortunately they were quite slow as they were hollow tinded a few weeks ago & are awaiting cutting.
