A short course with small targets adding up to a good test of golf, but not the most challenging of courses.
General condition of the course was good but holes 10, 11 and 12 were wet after inclement weather the previous two days.
Overall quite an enjoyable game of golf by the River Tay.

Terrible
Absolutely terrible. Greens are mud or moss. Fairways non existent. Bunkers haven't been raked in years or cared for. Dog walkers everywhere. Not an enjoyable experienceReviewer Rating

Only 9 holes available other 9 were being worked on. Reasonable condition heavy rain fell overnight and the course was being cut for the weekend.
Arrived Thursday no catering Facilaties available and a honesty box was in operation.

Myself and two other single figure handicaps decided to take on the course in a Texas scramble format thinking it would prove an easy test. How wrong we were. The course takes advantage of its highland settings with regular water hazards and council houses providing an interesting out of bounds area. The irregularities of the greens kept us on our toes and its fair to say we didn't read a put all day. I particularly enjoyed how the yardage markers were well hidden and often incorrect. A personal highlight included crossing a footbridge that threatened to collapse under our weight. If I ever meet the course designer I will be sure to shake his hand following the lessons we were taught in subtlety. The £25 cost made my round at Muirfield for £10 feel incredibly overpriced.

Unfortunately this course is suffering with some badly infected greens. Very little grass on those across the river. At this time it is not worth the £25 a round. I feel sorry for the club members who are trying to deal with it as best they can with limited resources. We received a warm welcome in the club house , drinks and food reasonably priced.

Great setting alongsid the the River Tay and with views to forsests / mountains. Played the course mid Sept after a dryish spell. Signs of water maybe being a problem during wet periods. Greens are small but run fairly true. A lot of holes are fairly short so good players may score well whilst higher handicappers will not score too badly. Some areas could have been tended to a bit better but all in all an enjoyable day. Clubhouse a bit dated but friendly welcome. Good value for money.

Lovely course, and the people who look after it are fantastic. They have been so generous to me this week, and would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Shame my ball kept going in the burn!!

An absolute hidden gem in the Scottish Highlands, this course was one of the most challenging ones I have played this year, more difficult to plot my way than Muirfield. While many of the holes seem innocuous to the untrained eye, the pins are protected by some of the hardest greens in Scotland. Many of the greens were more mud than grass, others were in worse condition than your average semi rough, making getting the ball within a few feet quite the challenge. Allied to this were bunkers that hadn't seen a rake since the 1707 Act of Union and yardage markers that were often incorrect and regularly non existent. The absence of such new fangled additions made this a real return to the glory days of golf, before things like mowers got in the way. The clubhouse too was a delight; presumably a listed building, serving some of the finest local delicacies - do not rush off after your round. All this for only £25, need I say more.
