Needs attention

Don’t waste your money playing this course, the “pro shop” is in the buggy shack, the tees are not maintained, no 1st or 2nd cut on fairways, water features are stagnant and bunkers not raked. Greens are ok but nothing to write home about. Go to Roda, El Valle etc, same price and much much better.

This was the second time we played La Torre in the week as there was a tournament at Hacienda Riquelme. This time, the weather was not as bad and we were playing the course during the day rather than under the "twilight" offer (70 Euro each with buggy versus 45 Euro each under the offer and not worth it in my opinion). Got off to a bad start when we were "paired" with a German couple that were supposedly booked at the same time as us. The starter said we have to expect it as it was now "High Season". What a load of tosh! After complaining in the club house, it turns out it was a matter of miscommunication. We teed off 10 minutes after the German couple and had no one following us all round. Playing the course again was really beneficial - certainly in the scoring stakes as we both improved our scores considerably. However, we still felt that La Torre was the weakest of the 3 courses we played and considering they charge the same as the other Polaris courses, we did not think it was good value for money.

Part of the Nicklaus trail in the Polaris World developments in Murcia. Booked this and two other courses in the same area through Club Murcia (very helpful and much cheaper than if you book direct) Played it in the rain under their "twilight" offer which is supposed to start at 15.00 hours (it changes from 14.00 hours on 1st March!) but as the weather was bad and no one around they let us go at 14.00 which was good because there was no way we would have finished in time before it got dark!
The shortest of the courses we played (par 68) and quite tight (like most of the resort courses it is built within the complex of apartments). Sometimes it did feel a bit like "target golf" but there are sufficient holes that challenge you to think - and not get the driver out on every tee. Overall, considering the weather (not to mention the buggy breaking down!) it was a good way to get used to the type of golf courses on the Nicklaus trail, but although we ended up playing it again 3 days later (happily in better weather and with much better scoring!) I would say it was the least liked out of the 3 courses we played (Hacienda Riquelme and El Valle).

This is a nice resort course but it's quite short and has 6 par 3's and only 2 par 5's. Also, only a couple of the par 4s are reasonably long and all of the others are short or mid irons to the green for the second shot.
There are plenty of bunkers around though and a reasonable amount of holes with water so what it lacks in length is compensated for in a good defence and it's still tough to score well.
Definitely worth a round as part of a tour of the local area.

Very good Course for Medium Handicappers

Well presented with excellent facilities. Although not the longest of courses it was still challenging and a good test for medium handicap players. I enjoyed my round on this course and would definitely play here again. Some might not like the fact that it is 9 holes played twice but this did slow play down or spoil my enjoyment.

Quite short compared to some of the other courses but interesting none the less. Played on a windy day and this makes the par 3s in particular over water tricky. The 11th off the whites was 220 yrds but playing 250. Grass tufts in the landscaping make being offline tough but then Nicklaus design is like that! More enclosed in housing than some but good fun and recommended visit. Shame the clubhouse views the practice area rather than the par 3 9th over water which would be much more fun!

We stayed at this resort and played two rounds here. It's a nice course, in good condition generally although the greens were very soft and wet.....at first I thought I'd mastered the art of backspin on a thirty yard lob, till I saw the depth of the crater where I'd landed the ball!! (Ahh well, keep practising) The housing here is a lot closer to the fairways and can be intimidating to those of us with a inherent fade with the driver (really bad slice!!) As at El Valle, there is a limited number of carts and trolleys available so book tee times well in advance. Plenty of water here but also vast areas of very wet and hard, coarse sand

Loads of Bunkers with very coarse sand. Plenty of water too.
But this is not the problem. Around the fairways there is about 2 metres of semi and then you are in to a type of rough where you will NOT find your ball. It is made up of a sort of mini-pampas grass - 'heads' of long grass in clumps which flop outwards from the centre and create an umbrella of cover about 1 metre wide. These are then spaced so that they are just about touching. Irritating to lose so many balls and drop so many shots.
The greens are excellent and run true over their many undulations.
If you stay at the resort you get a reduced green fee.
