Played this morning few groups playing but no delays as always everyone\'s friendly and a good atmosphere. Not the longest course out there but can be challenging. Greens were in good condition. I finished at 10 over par after playing round twice for the full 18. Most likely be back next week try to play the course once a week when I can. Keep up the good work

Brilliant- Greens are Amazing. Great step-up since last year when I came. Great value for money, around £7,00- £10,00 depending on how many holes you want to do and how old you are. Cheap shop providing Tea's and Coffee's and cheap little nibbles to keep you Going. Golf Cart's are Available if wanted, for £6,50. I Cant express Happy I am with this place. Its amazing how it has been transformed over the past 2 years I have been going for.

Wheathampstead GC. A nice little 9-hole course
Wheathampstead is a nice little 9-hole course, specifically I would say, for the newer golfers, as the course isn't long. It is a good practice course for your iron game as there aren't any holes over 275 yards, so good for irons, wedges and chipping. Tee areas aren't the best, but are OK. There are no bunkers, so no chance to practice bunker play. The greens are a little slow and could do with a little TLC, but are OK. The good thing about this little 9-hole course is that it allows you to practice chipping around the greens as there are run-off areas around every one, with various swales and hollows making some chipping a good test. There are a few range bays, but only for irons really, 175 yards maximum hit and a small putting green with 2-3 holes. Nice little pro-shop and a small on-site cafe, which shuts early around 3pm, so be aware of that. No bar, but not important really, as there are a few pubs close by. if you want to have a drink after. All-in-all it's a decent little course for the new golfer and for the more competent golfer to practice their game. Paid £11 for 9 holes on a Friday afternoon, so not bad.Reviewer Rating

A great course at great value. A challenging par 4 course with tricky greens and varying undulations to challenge even the most regular of golfer.

The Staff are friendly which gives the morning a good start. The holes are ideal for improving aiming from driving (the flags are visible and mostly reachable) and especially the short game. The rough is not too daunting - keep on line and you take it out of play! The greens have definitely improved over the years I've been going there on an intermittent basis. I tend to find that other players are friendly as well which helps enjoyment.

Under new owner and greatly improved. Fairways are cut regularly and greens have improved but still need treatment.

Great course for beginners and practice
It’s a bit unfair to list this course alongside full length 18 hole courses because it’s a completely different proposition but it’s great at what it does. It’s made up of 9 holes ranging from 140 to 260 yards in length - mostly too short to be conventional par 4s but too long to be par 3s. It’s a great course for beginners (and more a true test of golf than a pitch and putt or a par 3 course), older golfers, or people wanting somewhere to practice. So long as it’s not too busy you can comfortably get round in under 90 minutes. It’s great value for money and a loyalty scheme exists (2 free rounds after 8 rounds). Whilst most of the holes aren’t very exciting, the greens are a better quality than many short courses, which helps to make it a proper golfing experience.Reviewer Rating
