Very poorly maintained

Give this course a miss. The tees are like hitting from the rough and the same on the fairways. The actual rough is unfairly bad and so full of dandilions you can lose your ball when you would see it on any decent course. I have been to better maintained pitch and putt courses. To charge £18 for a round here is unbelievably poor value compared to other much better maintained courses within easy reach of this.

Played course today well over priced greens and fairways worst I've ever seen in 25 years staff very not friendly wouldn't recommend any 1 hosting run bye farmer who tries to be course keeper and clearly doesn't know what to do was watering course at 3pm hottest part of day on hottest day of year while players were on it

Always been a budget level course and you get what you pay for
Course lacks maintenance.Tee boxes very poor, uneven, bare patches not cut
Fairways when cut acceptable but get impression greenkeepers cannot keep up and periods between cutting too long hence some fairways get to be very long
Green are cut very short and bald in areas during summer
Overall impression of course is very scruffy
Clubhouse is really geared to accommodating the integral caravan site with their dogs Golf seems to be secondary consideration
But hey it’s cheap.

Pro shop not open on arrival had to queue in bar to book in. No score cards available so just went and played with daughter on the plus side the junior blue tee positions were well placed but not sign posted the greens were in pretty good condition and the course is worth a knock but does play a little short for the longer hitter

cheerfull but not cheap!!! the course does not represent the green fees!! I understand it has 1 green keeper & "farm hands" used when needed???? not the standard or practice of any reputable quality golf club.. many municiple course in the area are in better condition yet dont charge the price of what scalm park do. A relatively young course but looks tired! fascilities old & worn! Tee box signs damaged & tatty, very few bins & ball cleaners. driving range is in need of updating/upgrading.. pro shop ok must say the pro scott very friendly , knowlegeable & helpful, however it is the first time in my career i have witnessed a golf professional selling potatoes & ceramics!!!! overall a relatively ok course (suite a beginner) but prices are way out regarding green fees !! you can pay a tiny bit more & play at much much better. staff very friendly & helpful it must be said.. quite a few dogs round your table/feet when eating aswel i noted.. not good
