Great course for high handicap
Course is easy to get to just off motorway, course is still under renovation, and getting better all the time , fairways hold water really well and does not get over effected by rain , will be a great course when all renovations are finishedReviewer Rating

Kirkby Valley
Not my best days golf but the course was great. Some of the bunkers not playable but GUR was used. Greens and fairways were very good but some of the tees were a little tatty but this did not distract from the positive impression of the course - definitely one to play again.(Round played: Jul 2021 - Score: 98 Handicap: 20)

Making progress
A lot of changes are being made and could see a lot of progress since last I played. Greens were in very good condition. However, a few little things continue to let it down. There a no bins on some holes and there was a lot of litter around.
The 'card' was just a printed piece of paper.
A lot of holes don't have 150 yd markers.
Play was very slow. 4 hour round for a 2 ball
No dress code. People playing in football boots!
Nobody replaces divots or repairs pitch marks.
Could be a nice course in a few years but they need to educate players on how to look after the course.
