What the club says: Constructed in a valley between the mountains in the exclusive area known as “Camp de Mar,” Golf de Andratx was opened in 2000. With views across the bay, this is a stunning place to spend a few hours hitting a little white ball. As soon as you tee off on the first, you recognise the need for accuracy. The par three second is extremely tight, then the course totally opens up A great feature of this course is its clever design, as there are very few back and forward holes where you never lose sight of the matches in front or behind you. Its total length of 5,700 metres makes it very playable for golfers of all standards.

Rudest club in Europe

Golf de Andratx

Going to have to add to the ever growing poor reviews of this course and its management.

I first came here a few months back in June 2024. I had read some of the reviews which seem to be consistently calling out very poor/rude attitudes from the golf shop and Management. Didn’t start well - I had made the bookings under my company name but with my email and number. The very rude German gentlemen, seemed as if he was in charge, began with a blunt/insolent comment “well that’s not a name is it”. I explained that this was be because I used my business card to book and Apple Pay pre-populates but he just huffed and stormed off; His whole demeanour was arrogant. The Majorcan starter chap was lovely and light and day compared to the shop. Anyway, played the course itself and enjoyed it.

Fast forward to today. I had come out for a late summer holiday and had booked 2 x 1 Ball. I booked a solo round as that’s what I prefer. What I don’t want is to spend 4 hours with someone I don’t know.

Registered at 7:45am and was advised that they had added another player to my tee time. Cannot see anywhere in their T&Cs or at booking that additional players may be added to an already booked tee time. On top of this, I had booked the first tee time at 8am to allow me to get around the course quick on my own. I respect that at clubs in the UK the pro may ask if you are OK with someone else joining your round but I had not been proactively informed of this at any point.

Sometimes I want to play with others, sometimes myself. This was a family holiday with only me golfing and would not have booked had I known that they could unilaterally change your golf experience.

It’s a massive shame as my family loved the nearby Zafiro Palace hotel (not part of the golf club) but will not be coming to Camp de Mar again.

Suggestion to owners - people are spending their money to play at your club. Your team have been arrogant and rude each time I’ve attended or been in the pro shop. I get the feeling that if you aren’t German you are many going to be treated that well.

I have plenty of examples to evidence this but personally don’t think this is the forum. I understand you want to fill your tee times. However, simply bringing that to the attention of a player who prefers to play on his own is all that is needed and I wouldn’t have booked. Now I have dug a little deeper, your course has one of the worst ratings from a customer service point of view I have ever seen. Either that level of service is out of your grasp or you are too arrogant to care. I would suggest it’s the latter rather than the former.

If unabated German arrogance is your thing to is the place for you. Course isn’t bad maybe a 7.5/10 but with club attitudes at 1/10 there are better clubs to play. Take a long look at the reviews on Golf Shake, Trip Advisor and Google. I’m not saying anything that hasn’t already been said.

I have placed a complaint and request for T&Cs to show me the part that allows them to add players to a tee time and will report back. I am not holding my breath though as the club owner’s response to negative reviews is giving Basil Faulty vibes. I am not holding my breath for anything other than a response that is in line with my prior experience of their attitude.

Played at 8am, first tee off time, tricky first three holes and then you head up into the mountains! Some great golf holes, tricky and a thinkers course. Friendly welcome, new buggy but without GPS, halfway house was great. The course was in fantastic condition in June especially the greens which where rolling true and fast

I was really suprised by the hospitality and condition of the course after reading previous reviews on various websites. We all had a fantastic day playing a fun, tricky and well maintained course. Buggies are a must. The halfway house is almost too good, but then the Par 3 ninth over water call your name . Will be back next year.

We played the course in August and were surprised how green it was. They clearly (over) water, when we started at 8.30 am, the fairways were extremely wet and so your tee shot length was significantly hindered. As we got through the morning then the fairways were certainly drying out. The greens, although fairly true, didn't look as pristine as I thought they would be, with significant pitch marks. Having said that, we enjoyed our round and there were several really lovely holes. If you always want to see your flag sticks, this isn't one for you as there are a number of holes where a course planner is a must. We very much enjoyed the 6th hole, a 609m par five called "Green Monster" After my first two shots I was questioning its status as SI 1, but after my 10th shot, I understood! At ?200 for myself and my son, it wasn't cheap, but the price included club hire and a buggy. You can't play the course without a buggy.

Disappointing

Condition of greens unacceptable. Fussy course design with scant regard for natural contours. No water fountains and water not available at pro shop. Good signposting. Efficient greeting in pro shop.

Fantastic condition

This course is in excellent condition. Probably because they don’t allow buggies on the course! The greens are slowish. Various tees on offer - from the back tees the course is well over 6000 yards and one par 5 over 600 yards off the back tees. You need a buggy as there is lots of space between holes and it is up and down. They also don’t do deals here so a bit expensive, but definitely worth doing as it has some great views too.

The course went bust a couple of years ago and has been taken on by new owners. Unfortunately the course condition suffered and hasn't been rectified adequately. The tees need work, the fairways have unrepaired divots and bald patches and the greens are atrocious. Even the grass on the driving range is awful. For a course which is charging near top dollar (a buggy is essential given the gaps between some of the holes) I\\\\\\\'d expect much better. A pity since the course layout has the potential of a decent course and the SW corner of Mallorca needs better courses.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

This is a very mixed course. It is generally quite tight and holes 1-12 and 18 good to play. However on holes 13-17, these are houses built right on top of the course, generally both sides with signs on the tee telling players "not to go for the green and any damage you cause you are liable for". The tee box positions are ludicrous, e.g. on 16 even the smallest pull will put you in somebody's house. Badly designed, they could at least put up some nets, but chose not to.
In addition, they are somewhat "snobby", there is no club house, just a (trying to be) up market italian restaurant (I didn't meet any actual Italian staff) where they go out of their way to make you feel not welcome.
The guy at the half way house is friendly as is the marshall on the first tee, but that's about it.
By all means play the course if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way to play here.

A truly stunning and spectacular course, and in great condition. Expensive, but fair value in the end. Even though buggies are now technically discretionary, in practical terms the distances between the holes make it difficult to manage without one.

Set in South West Mallorca within the small resort of Camp de Mar close to puerto andratx. The cost is 100 Euros incl buggy which is compulsory. No practise facilities at golf club ie driving range, practise area and putting green approximately 400mm back down towards the resort of Camp de Mar.(note buggy carts cannot be used between club and driving range facilities) Course is tight on some holes and driver is not always the right club, spectacular views especially number 8 where the fairway and green are 250m below the tee. After hole 8 you can enjoy a beer at the halfway house prior to playing the short par3 ninth over a pond. You are confronted with challenging golf and stunning scenary throughout the round, well worth a visit

Set in South West Mallorca within the small resort of Camp de Mar, Golf de Andraxt is one of those courses that even if you are not playing well you cannot fail to enjoy. I've played it a few times and it still takes your breath away. The cost is 100Euros incl buggy which is compulsory - With honourary members including Boris Becker, Franz Beckenbauer, Claudia Schiffer and Michael Douglas and others you know you are to experience something special....The staff are predomently German and very friendly albeit a little regimented at the start post (if your tee time is 08:41 - you tee off at exactly 08:41!!!) - Every hole is a masterpiece and from the first shot you are confronted with challenging golf and stunning scenary, after hole 8 you can enjoy a ice cold beer at the halfway house - I cannot recommend this golf course highly enough.
