Set in its own 200 acre parkland estate, the George Washington Golf and Country Club is a 103 bedroom hotel offering the latest modern amenities and conferencing facilities. Friendly staff will ensure that guests thoroughly enjoy their stay. Both the Abraham Lincoln Bar, Brasserie and Restaurant and the less formal Bunkers bar offer a varied menu of good quality cuisine and provide a perfect place for golfers to relax after a round on the Masters. I am sorry to say this is the worse course I have played for a long, long time.
The fairways were covered in loose grass cuttings
The greens were full of pitch marks, it must be a rule at this club NOT to repair pitch marks.
One good thing the members on the course were friendly were as in the club house the staff were not the best I have ever met.
This is one course I will NEVER play again.

Fairways are heavey and wet and the greens are very heaverly tyned and thick with sand. would not be so bad if they were rolled to prevent bobbling while putting.
Bunkers, well if you can call them that, as little sand and what sand there is has more stones in it than stone henge.
general poor maintence throughout but has a great potential if they looked after the couse better. just think they need double the green staff they have at present.

awful, soaking wet, very low quality course, ankle deep in mud in places,beg's the question, how bad does this course have to be before they close it

18 awful winter greens (the pro told us 6-7 only before we went out) not a winter course.

Not sure
Visited this course as was in Newcastle for the British Masters in 2017. Course was only ok, could be looked after more in areas..... would not play again but another course tick off.Reviewer Rating

In great condition front 9 back 9 bit boggy but greens in best condition I have seen in a long time
