Golfers who like to combine the enjoyment of their sport with luxurious off-course amenities in a jaw-dropping setting have another reason to visit Laguna Phuket in Thailand.

Asia’s huge integrated destination has just added another feather to its cap in the shape of The Rava Beach Club, an enormous venue that will surely attract the golfing fraternity after a round on the adjacent course at Laguna Golf Phuket.

Billed as "a luxurious and sophisticated beach club and restaurant offering stylish ambience and stunning views" it is open to everyone staying at the destination and the visitors.

The Rava Beach Club

It features three areas for different needs and occasions. The ‘Young & Fun’ appeals to those described in the name - with a lively atmosphere, outdoor dining space, sun loungers, cabanas and three infinity pools serving small bites, cocktails, wines and spirits. Kayaking and paddleboarding is available for those who can drag themselves away from the bar and pools. The ‘Master Grill’ features premium cuts, seafood and sides. The ‘Prestige’ is a private lounge for property owners featuring two indoor dining rooms and semi private areas on the beachfront.

Laguna Phuket is situated on the beach of a 3km stretch of the Andaman Sea and features six hotels and residences spanning over 1,000 acres of lush parkland, 25 minutes drive from Phuket International Airport. Its vast array of amenities and the golf course are served by complimentary shuttle buses.

Laguna Golf Phuket

Laguna Golf Phuket, an 18 hole par 71 course is playable yet challenging with undulating fairways, plenty of testing run-offs and beautifully kept greens. Redesigned in 2015 to add to its environmental credentials, it is very scenic with views of lagoons, mountains, tropical greenery and is well regarded for its meticulous conditioning.

A variety of teeing options make it suitable for seasoned golfers and beginners who can take advantage of the PGA Academy and rental clubs.

The golf scene in Thailand is booming - thanks to its mouthwatering blend of top class courses, lots of off-course interest from the cultural scene to beach life -  and its delicious cuisine and genuinely friendly people.

It has become an exotic bucket list golfing destination for groups and couples.

Laguna Golf Phuket

Phuket is Thailand’s largest island, famed for its beaches, azure waters and stunning scenery. Nightlife is legendary and the well known Bangla Road is an eye opener after dark, yet not a place for the prudish.

The best time to travel is between November and March in order to avoid the hot rainy seasons.

Direct flights with TUI from London take about 12 hours. Other airlines offer flights with one stop over in the Middle East.
