Course review : Roehampton Golf Club

A great course considering it location so close to central London. Even though it is quite short it has some interesting holes and is in great condition. The clubhouse is excellent and general sporting facilities are top knotch.

Course review : De Vere Belton Woods - Lakes Golf Club

A good course. I very much enjoyed playing it and I found it quite tough, although I am a high handicapper. I played it in Early April, but it was in surprisingly good condition for that time of year. Facilities at the hotel are fantastic, so it is also a good venue for a golf break.

Course review : Staverton Park Golf Club

I good track which is well designed and interesting. It is built over reasonably undulating gound which makes for some nice elevated tees and tricky up hill shots. It is also a great venue for a golf break, well priced with good new restaurant and leisure facilities. I recommend it.

Course review : Wokefield Park Golf Club

On first impressions when you look at it from the clubhouse it looks fairly open, however when you start to play it you quickly realise that it is a fine championship course, with a lot water and well placed sand traps. It is a tough and interesting course especially when the rough is left to grow! It is also a great place for a golf break, and very reasonably priced. I have played it many times and have enjoyed every round.

Course review : Bowood Golf & Country Club

A long challenging championship course. It plays well over 7000 yards from the back tees. Wide fairways but lots of traps, so a tough round. In very good conditions when we played it in October. I definitely recommend it if you have a chance to play it.

Course review : Mill Ride Golf Club

I was genuinely surprised how good it was. It has a nice bump and run feel to it (although I was playing in September dry conditions) and was in great condition. Some of the holes where pretty hard, requiring layups (for someone of my ability) due to water, and some of the bunkers (which I kept finding) are fairly steep. Very enjoyable.
