Concrete!!!

Hi Chaps,

As I'm new to this site I thought that I would write one of these blogs, you never know I might get right into it and become the Stan Collymore of the "bloggin" world!

Anyway, my brother rang me at the weekend to let me know that he was available for a tanking on Monday and Tuesday so the date was set. We got to the local 9 holer and were ready to tee off at 8.30am. We both hit decent tee shots into the wind, as per usual I bashed it further than him with a smaller club! Nick hit a good 2nd shot which was pin high but slightly off to the right of the green. I took my shot which was a good 8 iron that was heading straight at the flag, great I thought until it pitched to the front of the green which had the pin set at the back, and then bounced 12ft into the air and then flew off the green after another bounce and into the deep rough off the back of the green. Nick's third was a nice little pitch shot that caught the fringe and then rolled to about 8ft. I then took my third from the deep rough and hit it sweetly (for a shot from the rough) which pitched about 9ft short then bounced through to the back of the green!! That's why the title is concrete, because we have all said "the greens were like concrete but I believe that this is the true definition of the saying. From there on we decided that we would play for fun and anything on the green was a gimme. Looks like Nick will have to wait to post his first round on golfshake and I'm sure that it will be higher than mine! lol And as for our mate Billy I'm sure that he will conquer his fear and drag himself out with us!
