THE CROWN GOLF SOCIETY HAD THEIR ANNUAL FANCY DRESS CHRISTMAS GOLF DAY ON SATURDAY 17TH DECEMBER 2011. IT WAS HELD AT HUMBERSTONE HEIGHTS GOLF COURSE THE GREENS WERE FROZEN FOR MOST OF THE FIRST TWELVE HOLES, THEY WERE ALSO RIDDLED WITH DISEASE WHICH MADE IT EXTRA TOUGH WITH THE WAND. HOWEVER DUE TO THE RIDICULOUS OUTFITS WE WERE WEARING THIS HAD NO INFLUENCE ON THE DAY. AS USUAL A GREAT DAY OUT WITH LOVELY FOOD, THE WARMEST OF WELCOMES & FANTASTIC HOSPITALITY FROM THE PROFESSIONAL & ALL OF THE STAFF AT HUMBERSTONE HEIGHTS. EVERY PLAYER RECEIVED A PRIZE! THE WINNER OF THE EVENT FOR THE SECOND YEAR RUNNING WAS DAVID PRESTON DANN PEGG WON TWO LONGEST DRIVES & A NEAREST THE PIN, WITH THE OTHER NEAREST THE PIN GOING TO KEVIN BATSON. THANKS TO DAN PEGG FOR TAKING UP THE REIGNS THIS YEAR & ORGANIZING THE EVENT, GOOD LUCK TO DAN IN HIS CAPTAINCY FOR SEASON 2012 STARTING IN MARCH.
