Deja Vu!By Edward Norrey on 20-Aug-2011
I have had a round very similar to last Sunday. The only difference of course, is that today is Saturday! I played Rapier Barracks Golf Club with my mate Brian. I started off with a "not so clever" front nine again. And out of nowhere, I started playing a lot better. If only there were a practice net at this course, I don't think I would have any problems. It seems to take me a few holes to get "in the zone" and start hitting the ball as well as I can. There is one thing that concerns me. I have hooked a few of my drives. And then to compensate, I sliced a little bit. But overall my tee shots were okay. My chipping is getting a lot better but I have a problem with pitching. Every pitch shot, or approach for that matter, was on the green, but on the back left hand side. The wind was a factor in this, but I am sure I am using too much club. It's not like I hit the ball thin or anything like that. Anyway I am pleased with my round and I am headed in the right direction to maintain my mid handicap.
