Completing a two-year developmental journey, Shot Scope has announced the launch of its Wristband in Spring 2016. This comes after a pre-sale period that began in January, after the product was exhibited at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, with the retail price from April expected to be £225.

Shot Scope Technologies was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland. From its inception, the one simple aim of the company has been to improve the way in which both amateur and professional golfers collect and analyse statistics from their game. The Shot Scope team, which consists of technology experts and golfers, including a former Walker Cup player, set out to develop smart wearable technology that was more intuitive and comprehensive than any current market offering.

The Shot Scope wristband empowers golfers with the capability to monitor trends in their game and identify their strengths and weaknesses. The Shot Scope wristband operates in the background without interrupting play and provides golfers with insights previously only available to the top tour professionals. Simply wear, play and track performance! The Shot Scope wristband is delivered with twenty unique tags, which are inserted into the grip of each club. During play the wristband’s ClubSense technology automatically detects which club is being used. Free from manually recording shot data, the player can focus on playing the game of golf. Once the round is complete, the data is uploaded via the player’s smartphone, tablet or computer. On the Shot Scope dashboard, the player can view their statistics in familiar charts, graphs and tables along with every shot plotted on a map of the golf course.
