PowerBug launch Ultra V electric trolley

By: Golf Shake | Tue 31 Mar 2015

PowerBug, has created one of the most innovative trolleys to hit the market in recent yeras. Their new top of the range UltraV electric trolley features a  revolutionary UV sensor built into the display handle is the pièce de résistance among a host of ingenious features

Windsor-based PowerBug, the 2014 Official Golf Trolley Manufacturer of the European Senior Tour,
has become one of Europe’s biggest golf trolley suppliers by volume in a very short space of time. This rapid growth can be attributed to innovative designs and rugged build quality, resulting in many happy and loyal customers, all suitably impressed by PowerBug’s pricing, reliability, design quality and customer support.

The top-of-the-range UltraV, available in both lithium and standard battery versions, breaks new ground with its revolutionary UV sensor built into the display handle to alert golfers to the presence of potentially harmful Ultra Violet rays. The display also provides a wealth of other information from a clock and round-timer, to a distance-measuring feature.

Beyond its high-tech handle, the UltraV is packed with a host of other ingenious features, all designed to make trolleying a simple delight. The UltraV’s lightweight aircraft-grade tubular aluminium frame addresses the trolley user’s key concerns of weight and strength, while its simple folding mechanism allows for easy assembly and breakdown, fitting neatly into an 88 x 59 x 31cm space in either the car boot or garage.

The Torque Control Anti-Rotation Bag Support stops the bag from twisting annoyingly on the trolley, so you won’t find yourself forever having to twist it back into place rather than focusing on your game. The adjustable front wheel tracking system incorporated into the housing, lets you tweak the tracking quickly and easily should your trolley take an unfortunate knock out on the course.

VRAP (Variable Run And Park) is a distance control feature that means you can set the trolley to automatically run and park at five preset distances from 10 to 50 yards. So you can send your trolley on towards your ball should you have to make a detour en route to help your partner look for his. The quick release rear wheels can be removed in seconds for easy cleaning and storage, and now feature a wider tyre for added stability over even the roughest of golfing terrain, while also providing excellent traction when the going gets tough.

The non-lithium version comes with a standard 18-hole battery, while the lithium-powered model comes with a Hurricana 27-hole compact lithium battery that weighs in at under 1kg and measures just 13 x 9 x 8cm.

The PowerBug UltraV is available in either black or white with a stylish matte powder coating, and retails for £599 in the lithium-powered version or £350 with a standard battery. For ultimate peace of mind, the UltraV comes with an industry-leading 5-year warranty on both trolley and lithium battery, while the standard battery has a 12-month warranty.
