Lamkin introduce the Wrap-Tech and Wrap UTx grips

Lamkin has announced the expansion of collection of popular grips with the introduction of the new Wrap-Tech and UTx Wrap models, both designed as a comfortable high-performance alternative to traditional wrap-style grips. 

In keeping with Lamkin’s performance driven heritage, the two new grips are designed with lower scores in mind as Bob Lamkin, CEO and President of Lamkin Grips explains.

“Wrap grips have always been very popular in the U.S as they suit the conditions in which most golf is played. So when we started to think about how to improve those grips we knew we had to provide the comfort and feel that our U.S. customers expected but we also genuine performance benefits that our European customers could get in their more changeable weather conditions. The new Wrap-Tech grip utilises a Double Helix pattern that combines two different surface textures for a balance of comfort, control and feel. Lamkin’s ACE 3GEN material that is used in the Wrap-Tech provides an extremely tacky and shock absorbing feel while the added traction in the unique dual pattern provides enhanced control and slip-resistance. This makes the Wrap-Tech perfect for play in all conditions and delivers a unique blend of feel and control. Available in standard, midsize or oversize options, the grips showcase a black base color with white, red or blue detailing.

The Wrap-Tech has already seen success on Tour in 2015 with new Lamkin brand ambassador Miguel Angel Jiménez. The 51 year old Spaniard put the grip into play during his victory on the Champions Tour in Hawaii and in securing a Hole in One in his first competitive round with the Wrap-Tech in Abu Dhabi.

The second Wrap-Style addition to the Lamkin range is the new UT? wrap. The UT? wrap utilises the same Tri-Layer technology that featured in the hugely successful UT? grip launched last year. This proprietary combination of materials optimizes grip feel for enhanced shot-making while also providing exceptional all-weather playability. The layers include a foundation made of soft, super tacky ACE  material for enhanced comfort, a middle layer of moisture-wicking fabric weave for traction and control in wet weather and a firm outer cover for torsion control and grip stability. Available in standard or midsize options, the grips are offered in royal blue or black.
