Oliver Wilson: In the Bag

The recently launched Callaway Big Bertha V Series Driver has helped Oliver Wilson earn his maiden European Tour title at the Home of Golf, on the Old Course at St Andrews, Scotland, in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

The former Ryder Cup player’s victory was secured with a final round of 70, consolidating a superb week commencing with an eight-under-par 64 at Carnoustie, followed by a 72 at Kingsbarns and a 65 on Saturday at St Andrews.

Oliver, from Mansfield, UK, has previously finished a European Tour runner-up on nine occasions and was quick to acknowledge the impact his new driver has had, after the tournament.

He said: “I put the new Callaway Driver in the bag, and it has genuinely helped me so much.”

The win also marks the fifth global victory for the Big Bertha V Series, launched in Europe on September 12, 2014.

The new Driver, Callaway’s fastest Bertha yet, built for speed and distance from lightweight materials, better aerodynamics and refined components, combined with a full bag of Callaway and Odyssey products, helped to power the 34-year-old Staff Professional to his first title.
