Boom Launches Andalucia Course Planner App

The new golf app from Boom has every golf course in the Costa del Sol and surrounding Andalucian region of Spain offering golfers a real alternative to expensive GPS systems.

Unlike other course planners available on the market there is no expensive outlay, no issues with roaming costs, poor internet connection and drained batteries. “Whenever I played abroad I found the course planners and the roaming costs that go with running a GPS system to be expensive” explains Kevan Kelsey who created the Course Planner Spain app, “This is a simple, low cost option”.

The course is downloaded on to the users phone in under a minute where it stays indefinitely. If the course is changed in any way then it’s simply updated automatically on the users phone for free. The app gives information on the par and overall length of each hole. It also features tee positions, driving distances, distances to the centre of the green and a bird’s eye view of the hole. The images are also zoomable.

The app is free to download then there’s a one off purchase cost of just £1.49 for each course. It’s available from both the Apple and Google Play stores by searching ‘Course Planner Spain Golf’. The Spanish app is the latest addition to Boom’s app portfolio. There is also a UK version of the app which is in its infancy with over 80 courses.
