New Almanac Shows Golfer's the Way to Europe's Leading Clubs

By: Golf Shake | Wed 30 Jul 2014

Europe's leading membership organisation certifying Europe's top golf venues has launched its new Almanac and Compendium across Europe, with the focus on growing membership within the UK and Ireland over the next 12 months.

The new Leading Golf Courses of Europe Almanac 2014 is now available and being distributed throughout Europe to inform golfers about member golf clubs and their unique characteristics, enabling golfers to make informed decisions on the top club's in Europe when planning their next visit.

Since its inception, more than 30 of Europe's leading golf clubs across 11 countries have joined the association - including Open Championship venue Turnberry, Monte Rei, Son Gual, Costa Navarino and Royal Park I Roveri - along with its latest member Thracian Cliffs, host of the 2013 Volvo World Match Play Championships.

Membership of the elite brand, fast becoming the European benchmark for golf club excellence and quality assurance, is reliant on a strict criteria of testing all areas of the golf club operations - with a series of comprehensive and objective mystery shopping evaluations.

Claus Feldt, chief executive officer of The Leading Golf Courses of Europe, said: "The Leading Golf Courses of Europe is a mark of outstanding quality and brings together the top courses and enabling them to communicate confidently to prospective members and visitors.

"Since our initial launch, our steady across Europe shows our commitment to quality assurance in the golf market and we are confident that the best golf venues will continue to benefit from joining our elite group."

Furthermore, all clubs belonging to the European association will now also receive a compendium with extensive information on what the organisation has to offer to its member golfers - including the benefits of its membership card, the new online booking tool for the reservation of tee times and its travel packages throughout Europe.
